Wow, I’m glad I listened to my gut and didn’t go forward. I was a few hours away from signing a deal.

Long story on how I found it was tuned; in short, I wanted a PPI done from BMW prior to signing. I guess someone right before me almost bought this car as well. That person had BMW do a PPI. I had the selling dealer call BMW for the PPI paperwork that was done prior. That’s when I was informed the warranty was void on the drivetrain due to a DME tune.

I guess it was a lot worse than that.

85k. Which they tried to sell for 99k some guy interested in it saw my post called me he backed out. At which point they sent it to Audi Plano tx! I bought the car originally for 87k

Salesman at Audi Plano texted me this today:

Me: You guys had BMW run the VIN? And it has full BMW warranty? I've heard this car had an ECU tune done which blew the motor in Cali. Motor was rebuilt by a 3rd party in Oklahoma and then sold to you guys is what I've heard.
Salesman: Yeah we had it taken there and they said it is still under warranty it is back to factory settings. Only difference now is if you do need use warranty work on drivetrain a master bmw technician has to come see it check it out.

I'm guessing the Master BMW Technician's response will be "no, not covered" =P

Any big changes with the LCI compared to this model??
As the others already mentioned Different Front and Rearlights. Grill has new Styling and you get a bigger Screen in the interieur, all small things.
The only Big Change is when you opt for LCI with Competition you get the Dampers from the M8 Competition. You wont get them if you buy a base m5 LCI.
