This car is so great looking. In the coming few years you are going to see a lot of M3 drivers move up to the M5 because the new M3 is so awful looking.

Personally, I LOVE it—a subtle evolution that manages to convey "more modern": that's no simple trick.

Love the look and ordered one, it should be rolling down the line after the holiday is over on the 17th.
Was disappointed when BMW started smoothing out their headlights, thought they should either somehow stay round or go full modern, and eventually it happened.
I'm a Porsche, Audi and VW guy, this is my first BMW.

I personally love the LCI, but I haven't yet pulled the trigger because I have been waiting for this.. I'd prob be on the "I don't care for it" ride if I had just got a 2020 though. This is one of the more "drastic" LCI models in the M line up over the years. I always loved that about the brand. Some new "packages" but no major headlight or front end changes to really make the previous MY in the same gen seem super old. But I think they did a great job with this. I've always thought of the M5 as the best "all in one" car available. Love the new tech, head/tail lights and the kidney grille refinement. I can imagine this will be the last M5 with kidney grilles...

As my other thread says, my brother got one of the last 2020 M5 Comps, and I just took delivery of my 2021 M5C LCI. Mine drives a lot softer in comfort mode. His is very brittle and jittery, while mine is very supple. I know that they took the shocks from the M8 and the adaptive system from that car.

I'm hoping that it didn't dull out the handling when you get it in sport and sport plus. I haven't tried it yet.

Anyone out there drive both and have any comments.

I have driven both. I have no idea what you mean by Pre-LCI feels "brittle and jittery". Think your brothers car is messed up.

The difference is negligible. Driving both back to back I think? I could tell a difference but it may be because I was wanting a difference. Definitely not night and day.

Agree with the above ... usually you get a different driving experience with new models due to different chassis, suspension, engine or others but not during the LCI, changes are kept minimal

Well...it's a known fact that the LCI has a reworked suspension. They took the shocks and the adaptive dampers from the M8. They did this because the ride comfort issues with the pre-LCI M5 Comp. I notice the difference.

See below:

https://www.motor1.com/reviews/42721...pdate-an-icon/

I drove the M5C pre-LCI vs. M8 Comp at Monticello. Both cars were in comfort mode (don't ask, that's the way they set it up) and the M8 was soooo much looser than the M5.

So, because of this knowledge and this experience, I'm hoping that the revision doesn't soften the M5C even when in sport and sport plus. I don't think so, but I wanted to ask if anyone else had made the comparison.
