I'm down for $150k pool he'll I'd settle for a $50k pool at this point

I totally get you. Turning 50 this summer and never been as financially comfortable. And I’m kinda bored with cars. At some point, you get over chasing “the next big thing”, and start simply try to spend more time enjoying your station in life.

The more I’ve looked and searched, the more I realize that a simple 7-series or S-class is probably plenty.

Hey man! We talked on the G30 forum in M550i thread when I was studying for the bar. So anyway... I passed that NV bar on the first try and decided to go right into a LLM program. Just got accepted (yesterday) to the #1 nationally ranked LLM program in health law at Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. Can't wait to hit the books again!

Maybe that's why I'm not caring about new cars at the moment, too much sh!t to do...

It's funny you say this...I'm 48 and bored with cars right now. Although I did just order a 21 M5C and thinking about ordering a 21 911 Turbo S Cab.

I don't know what it is really. I was hoping that the M5 would have a KERS system by now but it doesn't. I figure this will be the last non-hybrid M5.

While one is difficult to find and extremely popular at the moment a C8 Corvette should be in the equation. Another option would be a 2017 - 2018 Acura NSX. The McLaren 570S is a beautiful car and used ones can be purchased at a discount. You have to look at where the 570S can be services. One of my co-workers just purchased a Audi R8 over the 570S based on the location to get the vehicle serviced.

Before buying my F90 (now on 2 years of ownership) I considered buying a new 2018 Porsche 911S coupe. Several test drives in the 911 and the wife of 33 years looked over at me on the test drive (911S) and said your crazy if you think I am driving to Las Vegas in this car. I believe in the saying, "happy wife happy life". I know this does not apply to you since you are single and me and the wife are in our 50's. I made the transition from a 2014 C7 Corvette Z51 to a 2015 BMW M3 (F80) and I knew going back to the seating position of the Corvette (seat pan on the floor) was going to be a hard sell for the wife. It only took one test drive in the F90 and we were both sold on the vehicle.

Our F90 is used as a weekend car and after 2 years of ownership it only has 6.5k miles. We have several other vehicles in the household (total of 4) and I have a take home vehicle for work. However I am gravitating back to Porsche and the new 992 911S is calling back to me. Such a beautiful vehicle.

Ive been bumming around in a x3 m40 for a year and felt a piece of me was missing something. I'll always need a fast mean sounding car in my life.

but as you get older your tastes will change. maybe you finally got it out of your system?

So why would you go back then? Why not a sedan or the e63?
I just love AMG's. Maybe because thats all I've ever owned and driven. This was the first M car I owned. I considered the E63 but I don't think I want a spaceship anymore. The M5 is way too heavy for my liking, I was something I can toss around easily.
Exactly how I felt. Liked M4 Comp better than M5, dumped it fairly quickly. Have a 992 C2S now which I enjoy much more

Don't get rid of the GT3. Can't beat a high-revving naturally aspirated screamer like that. 992 Turbo is awesome but the GT cars are just so much more special.

Have any recommendations I'm not married no kids can be two seater or sedan
Mmm I wouldn't be getting back the M5 if I were in your shoes. I would maybe get into an E63S as I love super sedans. Or maybe the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant. This RS6 has killer looking lights on and off sequence.

Try something different would usually be my ideal choice. But as you totaled your car at just 3509 miles..... You didn't really get much time with your M5 actually....

Got rid of my brand new M5c and purchased a M760 as I just couldn't live with the the squeaky brakes.

I would take a look at the B7 or M760.

I bought an E39 M5 a year after I got my F90. The E39 is more fun to drive but less comfortable for long drives or traffic. I now view the F90 as the ultimate daily driver and not really a sports sedan but if I were to spend $125k on a different daily, I’d get a 911.

Funny thing was I was looking maybe to buy a e39 and maybe build it up a bit and clean it up and have comfort as a daily and the f90 is phenomenal as a every day car power in each gear the interior just amazing ! So maybe I won't be looking into a e39
