Sorry about not being super specific here but they did spend about 4 days checking, and the check is on the paperwork. Now like I said maybe covid had something to do with it? (Not wanting to send someone out?)

Some basic info without getting to specific

Car still drove (had cylinder scoring)

Used map 1 and map 2 only never pushed it past that. always 93+

No tune

Replaced under warranty

Hope this is a little more "clear" as to my recent experience. But if everything changed in the last month or so then take this all with a grain of salt.

I would be shortening the service intervals if I were driving a car with a tune; at least more oil changes......

Agree. Change oil with Mobil 1 every 4K between services.

Far off has long passed.

The flags start as a result of telematics data. Further detailed data is stored in various ecus, personal devices with the Connected app, and a full backup in the EDR.

I got engine light 2 weeks ago for fuel injector number 5, took it to the dealer and they didn't cover it under warranty due to tune.
I have full exhaust, intake, and Bootmod3 but I got them out and drove 300 miles before taking it to the dealer.

If you say so. 5 years ago, I captured a transmission from the vehicle by accident and have been privy to its evolution since (incl development of BMW AOS).

I just can't see how it's worth it to tune the car these days.......I would not want to risk blowing an engine and not having it covered.....for what, 2.1 in the 0-60 instead of 2.6?
I've just done stage 1 piggybacks for all my cars to knock the factory dust off the throttle. It's so much more enjoyable. 0-60 and 1/4 mile times I couldn't care less about
