Sorry, don’t misunderstand me, I’m not calling people mentally ill. It is however pathological because it is chronic and often progressive. And it is fun as hell!

I bought my EVO because I love N/A, but If I wanted fast, 720s is the best bang for buck supercar right now.

Also the "big boyz" you are talking about are not daily driver friendly, unless you invested in a built trans/built motor which runs 70k for a GTR and 150k for UGR car.

Why do all that? Why not just lease a 720s, throw on a tune/downpipe/exhaust, daily it for 2 years at 5k miles per year, $3,000 a month and then return back to stock and return OR just buy a nice used one for 230k.
A ‘daily’ rwd 720s will easily get beat by a p100d etc on the street, not to mention the high power awd ones i have already mentioned to you. As a daily, i would just leave the 720s alone(keep warranty), the extra power may help a bit when traction is available(at the jail speeds your talking about) but there will be poor traction on the street from a standstill and slower speeds where high-power and awd excel....btw, H evo beats it at a stop light till triple digits....

Stock 720s on stock tires on the street. No prep. Obviously big power, but limited hook....

That’s about right, the tuned 720s i witnessed on the street twice did 11.0x 1/4 blinking all the way.

Evo ran mid 10s on street on stock trofeo Rs....

Change the tires on the 720S and it hooks

That makes a new Turbo S a bargain. McLaren is dropping BIGTIME IN resale for a reason.

A long proven lack of reliability. Do a search on McLaren Life forum and read the break down stories.

2 prior owners talked me out of cross shopping one before I bought my 2019 Turbo S.

Nope. Porsche has great reliability, the Huracan rarely has issues, not ones that would stand you. My Ferrari's are the most reliable cars I've owned.

Not apples to apples but still a decisive win:

100 to 150 mph in 2.90 seconds per the poster at 6speedonline.

Plus several local Porsche dealerships while the next McLaren dealer is over 400 miles away.
I'd love a used 720s but that alone kills it for me...

The latest vids of the 992 Turbo against the Taycan Turbo S and the 720s speak for themselves. This thing is a rocket in stock trim.

I would just wish that it would look a bit more extrovert. I understand the design rationale for its understated appearance but I am OK for to look a bit less practical than it is

If you own a 720S your caddy is carrying your clubs behind you in your M5.
