Mine squeals but so did my ex M6 F06 and my ex M5 F10. I don't think it is an issue. I have learned to deal with it, especially as other cars I own also squeal some times.
This Porsche video is pretty good (In Porsche's the squealing tends to be even worse: ) This might have some helpful info, too: https://axleaddict.com/auto-repair/4...-Brake-Squeaks |

Break squeal
Da'Toy has been at the dealer for 10 days, just got an email that "New" break pads are being made and send from Germany?
the car is a beast compare to previous M5's ,but break squal is too,too loud! I had the '06 M5 with the same issue, they ended up replacing pads and rotors to solve the problem, I appreciate the feedback, thx, GeoRod7 |

Has to be pad QC. My X5M squeals like a banshee 2 days after a wash. F90 has been whisper quiet for 3,000 miles. Crazy.

I had squeals on my E46 M3 , my E60 M5 and my F10 M5. Each time eventhough their TIS procedure tells them not to, I have them change the pads and use liberal brake caliper past behind the pads. Stops the noise everytime because there are no "micro vibrations" in the calipers anymore. There are 2 Noises. "Pad Composition" noise which can be decreased by proper bedding procedure, and Pad Vibration in the caliper which brake pad paste is for. A few years back BMW told their techs to stop using brake pad paste when replacing brake pads. Now you get more squealing than ever. I use the brake paste and my brakes don't squeal. Also if I don't used it on my motorcycle brake pads I get squealing on them too. Brake pad paste has been my savior.

If you google Brake Anti Squeal Paste/Lube you can read and see the science behind this.

Have the same squealing from my car. Dont like it a bit. Takes about 10 minutes before it starts. Comes from left front wheel. I also see the tire temperature is higher on that wheel compared to the others. So to me it looks like something is making some friction on that wheel with the result in squealing. Anyone else notice this?

My shop Forman told me all am cars squeal on their brakes. My x5m was brutal. Embarrassing. My 911 tts with ccb's never did it. Well a tint tint bit once or twice. Literally. So far I have a whopping 275 miles on the m5 and no squeal. But if it gets to be as bad as x5m my personality I'm in trouble. Lol.

There is an oil cooler in the left front (when sat in the car) area in front of the wheel. My front left runs 3-5 celsius hotter than the other 3 tyres and has done since I picked up the car from new.
I noticed as I got a puncture (right rear) on the motorway on the way home from collecting the car, so was monitoring pressures closely and noticed the temperature difference. Other people have noticed the same and it is also common on the F8x models. It's not necessarily the cause of the noise, but is the cause of the temperature being higher.
