rock chip before clear bra

I took delivery last weekend and booked my clear bra appointment this coming Tuesday. (I couldn't get a spot right away because it was a very busy shop).

Today I washed my car and notice a small rock chip on the bumper and I am not sure if I should go ahead with the clear bra installation on Tuesday.

It is CAD $1,500 investment and I am not sure if it's worth it if I already got minor damage on the paint. Also I am concern that the uneven surface will leave bubble after installation.

Thoughts?

I'm in the exact same boat and I'm actually spending almost 4k since the whole car is going to be coated with H3 Ceramic Coat and Clear Bra for the entire front. I'm very concerned that I will be wasting my money.

Your detailer/film installer will probably recommend fixing it first

A good touch up paint under a clear bra will be almost impossible to notice unless you are really looking for it. Get it touched up but don't worry about a full respray.

One of the PPF installers recommended to install the PPF first, then they can inject touch up paint under the PPF. Tends to have the best results. Just make sure it isn't water-based paint.

Happened to me too.....

I took a rock skip across the hood that left about a 1/2 scratch. I didn't want to do the full repaint, so just got some Dr. Colorchip and touched it up as best I could. If you take your time, with multiple light paint applications, it fills in pretty well. I put 3M's Scotchgard Pro over the entire hood. It is not pristine perfect, but, you really have to be looking for the imperfection to find it. I would say, don't worry about it, but that's just me....
