Model Year 2020: I want and will be envious of laser lights and iD7, but do not want the live cockpit professional. Big time skip on that based on what I’ve seen with spy photos of LCP on the M8.

Model Year 2021 LCI: If minor exterior updates turns out to be good-looking and the grille doesn’t grow in such a way that makes it disproportionately uglier like many here are fearfully anticipating, I might have to bite the bullet with live cockpit professional and upgrade just so I can also have laser lights and iD7. Here’s to hoping that the addition of iD7 will also bring the remote engine starting feature to the F90. Seems like all the latest BMW models with iD7 also have remote start.

I’m just not a fan of the new instrument cluster. I really like it the way it is now in the MY2019 version.

Damn- way to throw a wrench into things. I think my favorite feature on the M8 video bmw released was this instrument cluster. It reminds me of the Lamborghini Aventador's features. Great that the F90 M5 has this as a standard feature now... but this throws my plans off for picking up a CPO 2019 Comp M5..

Aren't the laser lights only on high beams? Is there any extra cost or are they standard?

Only high beams, optional. Sticker price (in Switzerland) USD 1.520.-.

Honestly, I have no clue. You could try do delay your order if the car is not in production yet - all I did was to share the configurator with the forum.

My guess is that every car now ordered will arrive from the beginning of september as a 2020 model.

I just had a 3 series loaner with i-drive 7 and in its current form, I want no part of it. It was clunky and had bluetooth/connection issues. I mentioned it to my service guy and he said there are lots of issues with ID7. I'm sure they will work them out, but I did not care for it. Maybe it was just new.

So thank god that iD7 can be updated OTA and will improve with time.
