265/35/18 for fronts too big?
I am thinking of getting 285/30/18 for my rear
and I was thinking of putting 265/35/18 in the front.. would that be too big though? what about 255/45/18? Rear is 10 in wide, front is 9 in wide Thanks

I'm not sure there is an offset/height combination that will make that possible...even the 255s...

so far stock height
but I plan to drop the front as right now, I have a 3 finger gap.. yeah it's a HUGE gap I have 255/35 front now with zero problem... too much space actually... rear is pretty solid at 285 though it's 275 now, since the 285s got a nail but I'll def go back up to 285

dinan fits that kind of rubber up front with a 9in wide wheel. They use a spacer I believe though. It should make for better turn in grip.

I think 265 is a bit too much to squeze in there, especially if you do not have any camberplates.(?) I am driving about 2.8degrees negative camber in the front and 245 semislicks (wider then standard tire) fit with ease. So in my track set-up I will go to 265 on a 9x18 wheel which I already test fitted, but not yet testdrove. It is really a very tight fit!
For the street 265 would be too wide for me. I'm thinking about 255 or 245 square on 9x18. Last edited by marcel b; 04-18-2011 at 11:24 AM.. |

I have that for my rear wheels and swap it to the fronts, it didn't work out.
