Now waiting for carrier assignment.
The real question is are there Michelins or Pirellis on it. Looking at temperatures in Germany some places will get close to the 20-degree limit for the PS4S in the next few days. |

Ahhh the tire lottery. My pre-LCI (June 2019 production) came with Pirellis and my LCI (February 2022 production) came with Michelins. I never even thought time of year had anything to do with it as the cars come with summer tires by default, regardless of production/delivery dates. Or were you suggesting that the Pirellis can be operable in lower temperatures than 20 degrees?

I assume the Pirellis don't have this issue because they just suck all the time |

Still waiting on the car. But today I did get my M Performance Tire Totes to cover my 2nd set of wheels (which are backordered).
I've used the normal BMW tire totes (with Audi wheel felts) to store my 2nd set of wheels for the CTS-V for 13 years. The M ones are a little nicer since they are labeled per corner. |

This is me ranting that I'm still stuck at the port.
I did stop by the Cadillac dealership yesterday to sit in a CT5-V Blackwing with a manual. The shifter and clutch do feel great...way better than my 09 V. But the interior seems uninspired to me and too much like my current car. I'm pretty confident I will like the interior of the M5 more. But I do like the idea of getting a real rear brake caliper I'm ready for a change of pace after a GM LSx engine and Tremec manual for the last 19 years. |

That thing is freakin’ puny lol. Looks like it belongs on a Power Wheels car from the 90s. Going with 706Ms and black calipers to hide how small they are was the best decision I made.

I picked the car up on Saturday in 45-degree moderate rain. The best weather to make sure you follow the break in rules.
I love MBB in person. Looks so much better than I expected. And I love the Tartufo color and feel. And the red calipers look sharp. On the other hand, my completely rusted rotors are upsetting. They of course say it will wear off, but not the cooling vanes/interior portion. I should have stood firm and said replace them before delivery, but I wanted the car then. I'll complain at break-in service. At 193 mi so far (14 at delivery). I'm very pleased with the car, but I forgot how it takes to get used to a new car. The brakes especially. With the V I knew exactly how much brake to use in wet/dry summer/all-season tires and could stop right where I wanted to. The M5 I'm either way short or long. I was so excited I forgot to take delivery pics. I'll post ones when I've washed it. |

With that being said, you’ve moved in to an absolutely beast now. You’ll probably always miss the V a little bit, but I promise you that F90 makes it easier to forget.

Tartufo pics for anyone interested. The lighting makes a huge difference and the camera/monitor don't really match real life.
