I don’t know, my car sounds great, maybe you all just got broken ones.

fart sounds old

I miss my M3 E92. that things sounded great. My F90 Competition is growing on me but it needs more deep tones.

I would like to turn down the burbles by about 50%. I have lower DP and x-pipe and it sounds like gunshots in the parking garage at work.

Is there even a way to turn it down?

Yes a button and it’s quiet. Well, still rumbles but not pops or bangs.

Add me to the list. Love my F90 and the exhaust doesn't diminish or take anything away from why I love to drive it...just miss the old school pure V8 rumble.(which would be additive)

I'm 53 and I still miss my 71 Cuda with a 440 engine with the six-pack (3 -2 barrel carbs) that I had in the 80's. I just don't get the cracks and the pops from the exhaust. Back in the day people would think you were driving chitty chitty bang bang.

Here is a proper exhaust sound:

I find this thread amazing. It seems that it essentially “Opened a big can of Worms”

I don't care for the pop sound between shifts on high acceleration. However I do like the burble on the decell.

But to your point, this is the compromise of getting the huge power of a turbo. Turbos sound like shit typically because they're extra mufflers. The last best sounding M5 was the E60.

That said, since I have turbos I might as well use the cool sound of spooling to hear, so I installed the Lusso intake and my car sounds pretty gnarly overall imo.

I was wondering how that intake does repelling water (snow where you're at) being that it's exposed in the grill?

That's why I titled the thread the way I did. I'm actually really surprised nobody has thrown stones at me yet... haha It's all good, to each his own but kinda funny.

Completely agree, I like the muted sound of the stock F90, its the reason I chose it over an MB E63 which is far too loud and obnoxious on a daily basis IMO.

I bought dry chargers for it...Not sure if Lusso is selling them with his kit yet, but I made measurements and bought blue ones.

Chargers are water resistant but not water proof. I'm guessing they could handle some rain but an hour drive in a downpour probably wouldn't be a good situation. They look good and probably sound great though!

You’re right....I had a M6GC with the same setup and now this. Driven in hard rain. No issues.

You are old like most of us on here lol, but i agree too much burble/pop's gets annoying very quickly.. at least it did for me..

That's why i love Remusm thanks r33_RGSport ! OEM exhaust just didn't cut it yet Remus is perfect balance at least for me. I now look at it as having three settings:

1. Efficient mode (default) is more amplified than stock, nice deep rumble no burble/pops..
2. M1->Sport+, D2 (more amplified than above, some burble/pops when you get off throttle under 3K)
3. M2->Sport+, S3, MDM-off (Burble's/Pop's galore)

Nice! Not that it rains much here but was just curious.
