Brake Squeal Cure?
Hey
Did anybody tried using this to get rid of squealing? https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/83122296187/ I've replaced brake rotors and pads to the "upgraded more sportier" TX4007 from BMW ( they are ferrodo tho ) but they squeal even more. So looking for solutions |

This has been beaten to death. Just replace the pads with ACG pads.
Here's one of many threads on this topic https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1617012

I suggest you reach out to ACG and discuss with them. Read through some of the posts .....

dust is reduced significantly from OEM, but by no means is at a level of "Powerstop" or Akebono.. unfortunately neither one of those manufacturers have yet released anything for F90.
Porterfields which is what ACG is using definitely brake well, i have not noticed any change in pedal feel. Although mine had been properly bed in, in the beginning right after install at very low speed coming to a stop i used to hear a squeak.. i have not noticed in the last couple weeks, so its possible pad initially need bit more bedding and in the course of driving it bedded itself in. Downside to these pads is their price point.. way overpriced.. I was able to get "both" Powerstops front /Akebonos rear for my F85 for a total of $110 lol and they work like a charm. |

I just had my pads changed out by the main dealer under a warranty claim, only 4k on the car.
just send it back to them to change out is my advice. always get this big big steel breaks on the M cars. |

The problem is - it will come back and I would end up giving them my car every month for 1 day service. It's just nature of their braking pads that's why they came up with this gel/oil for previous generation and I was just wondering if anyone has used it

At least your dealer tried. Mine told me that BMW HQ said that should not try to fix noisy M brakes. That is the way it is.

For those using the ACG brake pads is there a risk of the compound of the brake pad reducing the life of the brake rotor? Last edited by Egrunt; 09-16-2019 at 12:28 PM.. |

Also, went with aftermarket carbon ceramic pads on both of my F10 M5's and never had any sort of issues with the rotors; owned each of those cars for about 3 years.

The loud brake squeal noise and crazy black brake dust is due to the cheap oem pads they use.........I had the issues and fixed it by replacing the pads with Porterfields r4s street pads...just call them and order direct.....now I have zero squeal and less dust
