navigation not loading / connection issues

I Noticed that my iPhone app was last updated with the car on 11th January and no amount of refreshing the app sorts it. This means I can’t manage charging or precondition the car via the app.

Then a few days ago the navigation stopped working- it just continues to attempt to launch it - the weather doesn’t update either.

I’m wondering if something is wrong with the SIM card connection in the car?

Anyone had similar issues?

Seems like it might need a dealer visit. I presume you've tried the idrive reboot (seems a bit of a longshot)?

Hi thanks for the reply- no I’ve not tried the reboot - how is that done please?

With ignition on, push the volume button in until the main screen goes blank and reboots. It's around 20s from memory.

Connected drive outage fixed 1/25/24. Update your apps and services in the settings menu and recheck. This issue is almost always caused by a backend issue which is generally just a random connected drive outage. Do not bring your car to service as you will just be wasting your time and theirs.
