What do you consider to be..........
Everyone looks at problems differently.
So, what do you consider to be problems? Or when your car is giving problems? For example: Does your car has to have some serious engine or transmission issues for you to rule it out of as problems? Or do you think it's problems if for whatever reason your tire keep losing air.......just examples... |

Squeaky brakes and transmission software needing to be tended to.
Our trans runs like a high stall converter car. When you step on the gas, it revs up a bit and then pulls a holeshot. BMW dealer says that this is normal...We didn't check off the crack pipe option, so they must've kept it for themselves. |

Well in my case:
- tail light misaligned an jutting out the day after my delivery - drivetrain malfunction and limp mode - peeling interior trim - squeaky rattle from centre console - crazy wind noise on freeways - metal panels from body bottom coming loose and falling off on the road .. that's over a very long period of ownership, though. All of three months. I still love the way the car drives but I'm trying very hard to like the brand or recommend it to anyone. For what it's worth.

I'd wager that any issue that detracts from the enjoyment of the vehicle is a problem. Some things are entirely subjective, while others (..constant limp mode issues, flaking interior trim, etc.) would most likely be perceived as a problem to everybody.

Limp mode sucks because I've had it at random times and you just never know when it will strike again. Its a problem! Bmw need to get on it! Dont even get me started with the brake issue. Like Sedan said if it bothers you take it in, and hound them if you need to, but at the end of the day Bmw is a great company and will do what they can. If they keep your car in the shop for a while then I hope you get a loaner, but they will definitely reimburse you.
On my last x5 (a more local dealer than the one I usually use)messed up the Wheels with some sort of chemical while getting a wash after service. I noticed once I got home discolored spots on my magnesium grey m sport wheels. I brought it right back and they acknowledged it was an issue. They tried for weeks to fix the wheel while only making it worst, then they tried to act like there is nothing more to do. One threat about getting BMWNA involved 2 days later they were replacing the wheels. BMWNA also reimbursed me for the month this whole process took. I stick to a simple code...only lease bimmers for daily driving enjoyment! |

I have a problem hearing the exhaust at redline. Not an issue per-se...unless I'm driving downhill.
Seriously though, the only issue I've had is with my iphone. Sometimes the music will be playing in the background when I'm talking over BT. I think it's some weirdness that happens when it's plugged in via usb and paired with BT. I should probably read the manual lol.
