50k 60k isn't gonna make much of a difference, personally I do it every 30k, because why not. I'm pretty sure ZF says to do it at 100k KM which is 62k miles but bmw says to do it at... 80k miles? (It says lifetime fluid then in parentheses it says something about how the lifetime of the vehicle is 80k or something I don't remember the exact number nor does it matter since it was too high for my liking)

The dealer is most likely not going to do this for you bevasue there is no such procedure in terms of maintenance. The only time they open up a transmission is if it's failing or for repair. Heck, when I had a trans replaced at the dealer on my e90, the trans shipped from Germany WITH the oil in it already. But to give you an idea of what it would cost at an independent mechanic, labor guide says it's 2 hours of labor, you can look up the transmission filter and gasket yourself (and the pan if it's a one time use plastic one) and a few quarts of oil... so shouldn't be more than 400-500$ ish labor and parts depending on what labor goes for in your area.

My dealership wanted me to change transmission, front and rear diff fluid at 30,000 miles via key scan. All three services was $1100.
And the spark plugs they said at 50,000 and not 30,000. I told them I will follow the BMW maintenance booklet. But I did hold off on changing spark plugs because car is running perfect. |

I just ordered the filter, gasket, bolts, plugs and fluid from FCP for the trans. $213 in parts. Probably take me longer than 2 hours but I am not a pro. Just a DIYer who has not done an F90 before. I did change the trans fluid on my E61 535xi. It had a plastic pan with integrated filter. The F90 has an aluminum pan with replaceable plastic filter.

If its the same as other bmws, typically you just run ista and follow the instructions it tells you to do in real time. Basically drain oil, remove pan, remove filter, add filter, new gasket and probably bolts, add pan, add oil until it starts dripping out the fill hole. Raise car up, once temp is at least 30c for transmission undo fill plug, and wait until it starts barely dripping out of the fill plug. If trans temp is below 50c replace fill plug and enjoy.
