Great performance from a dig by the CS no doubt. Its a truly fast if not the fastest sport sedan there is now.
I’m amazed though that in all these threads about quarter mile performance no matter the outcome (M5CS vs Tesla Plaid for example) theres always a bunch claiming their thoughts about the BMW being ”the better car”. I have an M5C and a 991.2 GT3 RS. Is the M5C faster in a straight line, Yes, does it drive and perform better on a twisty road or track, No not by any means, Does it have better comfort, Yes, Does it sound better, No not close (especially not the LCI), does it depreciate like a rock compared to the GT3 RS, Yes and yes again, which would I choose if I could only have one, the M5C for sure. Just different cars for different purposes. Like comparing a Rolex to an AppleWatch. |

As a current G80 M3C owner and having been blown away by the sheer pace of it but also knowing how fast the the M5CS is, how the hell are cars even from the M5CS level and beyond bothering with normal day to day driving?
Its apparent to me how much more capable my new G80 M3 is beyond the speed limit. i.e. its too fast for the road so owning an M5CS or any of these 650bhp+ monsters must be so over powered to be really useable. Folk aint getting their monies worth as 75% of their capabilities aint being realised unless at a track and many (most?) of us dont track our cars. Its mental how fast these things are. |

I was told by my bro-in-law who works at a local BMW dealership that every launch adds thousands of miles onto the clutch and that BMW record every launch for each vehicle for warranty purposes. So I guess I can understand BMW wanting to limit the number of launches.

What's the retail on one of those?
I think anything sub 5 seconds is plenty fast and going to 2-3 sec to 100 kph.is another level. And anyone who is spending money simply based on a paper acceleration or the feeling of being the fastest on the planet has... a lot of money. They both great cars and if I had the money, I'd have the red car and wouldn't care one bit that a Smart car with a Tesla swap would smoke me at every light and I'd give him a thumbs up each time. |

https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1798332 Within, there are links to others, where some cite tech training documents that explicitly state the limit (for the F48), and others that just note excessive wear from use.

Can we all agree Carwow generally does fun videos with fun cars? Do people get upset when they drag raced lorries? It is a fun repeatable set of tests on how cars are driven.
Also.. accelerating a stop lights is a pretty common thing right? Overtaking, prevent an overtake, having some fun… it's like normal driving and an American past time. Not every "drag race" has to end at 160 MPH. It seems like some people think cars should either be towed in a trailer for track use only or be driven like Priuses on a max MPG run. 😜

The, "OMG! Another silly CarWow race" comments are annoying. These are just simply fun races; races that might be seen at any intersection or stretch of highway in the country. |

I'm finding the banter on this thread amusing. I have a F90 slightly modded and a 812 with sport cats.
What some do not understand and what this video doesn't capture is the magnificent sound of a Ferrari V12 engine and how it screams to 9000rpms. I love my M5 and it's impressive on many levels, but a true Ferrari enthusiast doesn't care about what's the fastest. It's style and scream...for me at least.

there is no way you drove both and still went with the F90. These are super car fast and comfortable cars, but lack any real interaction, and for me if im going to lack any sort of feedback ill hop in my rolls or something that wont beat me up to seem "sporty" My wife find all of the things i dont like about it as positives and its her daily, donwpipes intakes and JB4 Map2 the car is faster then any of my "fun" cars but i have 10 times more fun daily driving a civic type R, let alone a V12 ferrari
