So if they were taken off a car under 1,000 miles, how do they have 1500 miles on them??
And if they were taken off of a new car, what did you buy from ECSTuning for $15,000? |

If you want anyone to take this post serious I would post some more pictures and in someway guarantee the items in the photos are legit, you are in possession of the parts, and you are who you say you are. Weve had tons of scammers in the classifieds, all of them similar to your post. What I mean by that is... There is still questions needing to be answered, certain things seems to not align, low post history, recently joined the forum. Got some things working against you here. Also the fees on eBay are what 12-15%? You'd have a lot better traction at a lower price point, I would at least put at the same price as eBay net. thats a 12-1300 fee to you, so your net is way less selling on eBay vs here. Also youll need to give some good payment options in order for someone to be willing to take these off your hands. Take CC? PayPal, or even an escrow type of account (not friends and family) where there is buyer and seller protection. If you want Venmo, zelle, or PayPal friends and family, may as well not bother posting. No one will do that for 9000.00 friends and family, zelle, or Venmo. Not with out protection and some type of guarantee.
More photos and information would be : -weight of each rotor since thats the best way(maybe the only way) to measure the life of carbon rotors. Having the miles his fine, however, its nearly impossible to truly know the miles with out seeing the car they came off, and even then it could be manipulated. Also, even a car with very low miles could have seen a few track days and those carbon rotors go really quick if you track your car a lot. So could easily burn through a set of CCB rotors in 5-10k miles, when normal street driving you could easily get 80-100k miles. -Up close photos of both sides of each rotor. where you can clearly see the wear indicator plug. -in fact even better, up close photos of everything especially the calipers, pads, rotors. -photos of the part numbers aligning to each part. stuff like this will go a long way to give a buyer peace of mind to pull the trigger on a nearly 10,000.00 used item. even a tiny little ding, rock chip, or scrape on one of the rotors renders it useless. these are big ticket rotors, and they're easily damaged during install or removal. and to replace is 3-4000.00 per rotor new. so they would need to be mint for most folks to pull the trigger. I actually considered buying a used CCB kit for my F90, but didnt end up doing it as I likely will only have the car another 6-12 months. With that said, I would never even consider buying a used CCB kit without ample up close photos of each of the rotors and pads, out-side and in-side, front and rear. Of course for a transaction this big I would only accept a PayPal invoice unless the buyer was local and could pay in person after seeing the part. These brakes have never been tracked but Ill for sure get them weighed too this week. I know that scammers have been a huge issue in a lot of forums will for sure work on making this listing better. |

Yes weigh each rotor, and label them front and back, inside and out. I would also take a photo of something with your screen name, date, on a sticky note, or piece of paper or something with the items in the picture also. This simply helps everyone know, YOU are who you say, and YOU are actually in physical possession of the items. Thanks for not getting defensive and improving the post, that act alone helps people think you're likely not a scammer. Most scammers just then go dark, or get super defensive. |
