21" Tire size recommendation

Hello guys. Fairly new member here. I'm seeking advice on proper tire width for 21" wheels. Which is better for the AWD transaxle: 275 front/285 rear or 275 front/295 rear? I will be taking delivery of my 2021 M5 Comp today and I would like to step up to 21" wheels and tires.

I'm on Michelin PS 4S

295/ 275- 30- ZR 21

I've had this set up for almost two years at this point with zero issues.

Here is a pic of the setup: PM if you have any questions.

I'm running 285 front and 295 rear. As long as the rear is bigger and the difference in diameter is ~1%, you should be good.

Thanks for the info. Did you have to change any settings in the idrive for the new wheel configuration?

I do not recall changing anything on the idrive.

RE: 275/35R20 & 285/35R20 vs. 275/30R21 & 295/30R21

Since there's no difference in overall diameter, which is the only thing that matters, there's no need to do anything special to the vehicle.

Source: I've been selling tires for over 20 years.
