They said the log looked fine and to switch on bit5 for comp cars, so I did that and did a pull in map1, logged it, boost is down to around 22-23psi, timing up slightly. I did a 3.00 0-60 and 7.16 at 102mph, so its making a bit more power.
I have a log of a 3-4th pull if anyone wants to compare or see. |

Finally had some better DA here and a cool night. Did a 10.60 at 130mph with a 1.60 60ft. Map 2 jb4, pump 94 and drop in air filters. Pretty damn good. This is with the heavy factory wheels too. 0-60 was 2.86

for your DA your very quick, be patient with the JB4 and stay in contact with Terry thru email. Get some 4th and 5th gear logs as car is under more load and ECU is running richer.

Ive noticed that this car needs to be drove in cool air, let the intercoolers do their job, IAT drop, then do the hit. If the car sits, it immediately starts to heat soak due to the hot vee configuration. Just ordered some Titan wheels, about 13-14lbs less per rim (i think), which should help a ton, especially on the 60ft. EDIT, that 10.60 was done under 3300ft DA, about 16C ambient temps. Im surprised the DA wasn't less, but that is what it said on the DA website and also the draggy. cheers |

I installed the SAVU downpipes, they are from Keller, stainless steel.
I drove maybe 50-60km, not much time with it yet, but doesn't feel much faster... I did a 0-60 nothing impressive. Car probably has to adapt still. Fuel trims are pretty high around 35 or so on JB4, not sure how far the fuel trims can keep going before a code is popped?? Timing seems to be pretty low on my JB4 low, around 8-13degrees with some full throttle hits, map 2, 94 oct pump fuel... Exhaust sounds pretty good. Very stock like cruising around to loud AF when WOT and letting off with the pops and bangs. Im going to put JB4 to 0 stock and log, see what the maps say for timing, etc. Maybe go back down to map 1 and see as well. Would really like to do a normal tune on this car, something with richer AFR, timing adjusted, etc. |

Well I did a few hits tonight. Air was cooler, catless DPs installed. I got very little to no gains in mph or time from stock exhaust, very surprised, those stock cats must flow really good.. this was map2 JB4, 94 pump gas.
Looks like I gain 0.50mph in the 1/8th, 1/4 about the same. |

If tuning is the same then it’s just pushing passed the belief/or need to remove the cat restriction. Not sure how much less heat and back pressure you have now compared to before but assuming it’s better on the engine. There was a video somewhere showing just dp’s added 50 rwhp without tuning. I do not believe that though lol

It’s 2400ft elevation here, we will never see 1000 DA… maybe 2000-2200 on a really crisp morning.. regardless, the catless DPs did really nothing with map 2 and jb4.
My timing is nothing great 6-13 degrees. Perhaps some tuning is required to take advantage of the DPs?? Maybe the stock system flows just as good at this level. |

No E85 at the pumps here. There is a city 2.5hrs away that guys have been trucking it in from. But I have heard that E85 at the pump varies wildly in its concentration of ethanol.
Also, ethanol has a different stoichiometric value vs pump gas, which concerns me in terms of the factory tuning... How does the factory tune know to richen up the mixture if more ethanol is used? The manual says not to use higher than E20... I don't think these cars have an ethanol sensor for the ecu to richen the mixture? I found another source for 94 at Esso nearby, Im going to try that stuff tonight. I also have MS103 for when I turn up the JB4 a bit higher. However, I am bit hesitant to use it. |

Those are the reasons I have run meth in my cars for the past 20 years. No E85 around and race gas is too expensive to run full time. The meth is there whenever it is called upon, which is probably around 40% load or higher. I probably use 2 gallons a month since I don’t track and don’t drive like a teenager. I keep a 5 gallon can or two around and mix 70/30 meth distilled water.
