I’m looking at a 2021 M5 comp with b&w, all the carbon fiber bits, very well optioned. It’s donnington gray over silverstone full leather. 17k miles, 1full year left on factory warranty. The carfax looks great, except it doesn’t list the 1200 mile first service. This worries me. Should it? They’re asking $83k. BMW dealer.

I won't buy an M car without the first service done at 1.200 miles.

It’s at the BMW dealer. Ask them to pull up the service record and confirm. They’d be a lot more accurate than Carfax.

If it didn’t get the initial run in service close to 1200 miles — would avoid per a few threads on here. Like if it was at 1400 miles or something probably not a big deal. But if it was done wayyy later — then avoid.
