I recently started using the Undertech Undercover Belly Band Concealment Holster. Now that I carry a Glock 42, Glock 43, and Sig P365XL. I find it much easier to carry in the appendix area. I am 5'11" and 190 pounds. Back in the 90's I was a Reserve Police Officer in Virginia while on active duty in Marine Corps. I use to carry a full size 1911 and while driving my C4 Corvette I would place the 1911 in the side door pocket while driving, it also helped that I am a left hand shooter so it was easy to grab the pistol if I needed it quickly.

The good thing that I have found about the Belly Band holster I can adjust the holster up higher from the waist band so the end of the pistol is not digging into the groin area of the body.

I have numerous handguns but my go to handguns are now the Glock 43X with the 15 round Shield Arms magazines and also my Sig P365XL with the Holosun HS507K optic. I am waiting to get a Glock 43X MOS (sold out in SOCAL but I am next on the list). Once you shoot with a open reflex sight it is a game changer.

interesting, I have not tried belly band, I think I may give it a try, I haven't gone with an optic yet, for fear of once I do it I wont go back and might lose some ability with iron sights-hahahah I had a G43 but gave it to the wife, because she liked it. Currently the SIG 365 can reside inside pants pocket of cargo pants or appendix carry under Hawaiian shirt, Handgun technology has evolved rapidly over the past few years, the old school 1911 is first weapon I held and fired, but have only owned hammerless striker fired no safety or DA-SA w/no safety to keep the training and mindset the same. The Wilson Combat EDC X9 is a work of art, Ive been contemplating getting one, but I'd have to train for flicking the safety off and carrying condition 1, but its such a nice weapon, is I think Im sticking with the Sig, nice cars are like nice guns and and watches and cameras, toys for older boys.

door pocket sometimes visible from outside, I actually usually put weapon between seat side and door sill if not holstered, usually hides it pretty well, it just depends, most people who carry have a bunch of holsters and crap that doesnt fit/work at home somewhere that they tried til they get a rig that works, i.e. alien gear holsters, some people love em, doesnt work for me.
Spare mag, keys wallet etc, sometimes I prefer console, i.e ;putting gas in car, nobody could reach into door or fear of wallet falling out, when I drive highway, I prefer empty pockets and like to take wallet out of back pocket so my back isnt crooked and twisted, its on some level sacrilegious to add weight, but things like keeping car empty of junk to perhaps removing sun visors can make that right I suppose, or going to gym, eating less etc etc
Totally get it. I also moved to a Carbon Ridge front pocket wallet. Still getting used to it but like it so far.

I'd imagine a healthier diet would save tenfold the weight of an armrest for someone that needs an armrest in any CS.

Wow. Why do you need to carry three?

I don't carry three at the same time. The reason for the three different handguns in the picture was to show the three different holster setups that I utilize depending on my attire and what vehicle I will be driving. The inside the pants holster (Milt Sparks Summer Special 2) that I have had since 1991 is my go to holster for my strong side when driving my truck or motorcycle. The Blackhawk holster (bottom right) is great when wearing cargo shorts (place holster in cargo pocket) and the light weight of the Glock 42 make it great when driving the M5 (no wear on the seat) and the most comfortable carry option.

I was actually attempting to make a joke.

You, @Egrunt get extra brownie points not just for the M5 but especially for the GS.

Yes, this is possible, and I've summarized the steps below.

I would use a hack saw (you can get one from Home Depot for less than $20) to saw off the top of the center console, by cutting horizontally straight across (just beneath where the lid of the console would be in a normal M5). At that point, you will have exposed what's underneath the top cover of the center console. Most likely, it's not very important, and can be removed. If what's underneath is mostly plastic, then you can use a crowbar to break up the material, by first hammering the crowbar in (use a mallet), and then gently rocking it back and forth (use a longer crowbar to get more leverage), until the material gives. Be careful not to damage the leather interior with the other end of the crowbar. Eventually, the plastic will crack and you can pull it out in chunks. You should wear eye protection as the plastic can splinter. If, on the other hand, the material inside is made of metal, you will have to do a bit more work. In that case, you can use a miniature jackhammer such as the Bosch Concrete Electric Breaker Hammer, also available at Home Depot. It breaks up material such as metal or concrete by delivering high impact energy down a steel hammer chisel, which can be replaced if it wears out. You may want to cover the interior of the car with protective cloth before doing this, so nothing gets scratched.

After hollowing out the inside of the center console, I would purchase the interior shell and cover of the regular center console from the M5 LCI, and place them inside the hollowed out area you created. The cover will lack the red "CS" logo, but you can obtain a similar sticker on eBay, and most people won't notice.

Of course, this modification will void any warranty on your interior (engine and other parts are still covered). But it's well worth the storage space gains, and it might actually raise the value of your car if you ever decide to sell it.

Should you run into any issues after completing the project, I would take the car to a certified BMW dealer, they're usually quite helpful with such custom modifications.

The belly band looks like a quick and easy way to shoot your dick off.

The only sensible solution is to replace the CS centre console with a standard one for the base or comp like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M5-F9...-/264908596449

And then have the armrest leather re-trimmed to match the CS interior before swapping it out.
