Sunroof or Bowers and Wilkins? Dilemma

Finding the exact build in my area is difficult. The car will be leased. Here it goes my dilemma.

Perfect car but the miles
1.(WHITE) Car is $124,500 everything I want plus an extra $3,500 option that I wouldn't get if ordering, but nice to have. Found out tonight that the manager been driving the car, has 1300 miles on it. $6,000 down $1,297 a month. No extra discount.

Perfect car but sunroof
2.(SINGAPORE GREY) Car is $119,800 this how I would order the car except it has a sunroof l really wanted the carbon fiber roof. New $4,600 down $1299 a month. Was thinking I could wrap the roof either carbonfiber or gloss black? Never seen it done.

Perfect car but most expensive. Shipping charge.
3.(WHITE) CAR IS $124,300 everything I want but it's in Virginia. I would have to pay for shipping $1,000 to $1,500 on top of $6,000 down $1,295 a month.

I don't know what to do!!!!
What would you pick and why if you dont mind telling me.

Thank you.

Every single car I've owned has had a sunroof up until this one with the CF roof. Have not missed the sunroof one bit. Love the CF roof. B&W is a nice upgrade, but it's not an audiophile system by any means. Better than the H&K in my F10.

I did wrap the roof on a white car I had and it looked nice. It was gloss black wrap and it had a sunroof.

1300 miles on a car you are going to lease would not bother me at all as long as there is no damage. Personally I would try to limit the money down on a lease.

Sorry, I don't care what anyone says.....but I would never own an M car without the carbon fiber roof.

It takes away half of the aggressiveness of the car.

Honestly, if I saw someone with a sunroof on their M5....I'd think they must have gotten a bare bones one cheap because hardly anyone would opt for the sunroof. Just get a M550 otherwise...save the money. It looks pedestrian.

I understand that some people just love sunroofs....but it simply doesn't look as intimidating or good with a sunroof. It looks like a normal 5. You aren't going to fool anyone with wrapping the roof, either.....the carbon roof has a completely different shape/line than the normal roof.

that's a bold statement ^

Personally, I love having a sunroof on my M5, We don't get much summer days here in Toronto but when we do, I like to drive it with it open.

I ordered the car with black exterior and Aragon Brown interior (dark colour scheme) so not having a sunroof could make interior feel small from the inside but if I went with Silverstone interior instead then I could have gotten away with CF roof.

1 or 3 - sunroof is out.

1. Although I would prefer new, you would save an additional 1k usd on running in service.

3. I wouldn't be phased paying circa 1k usd for delivery, considering the value.

Yes, probably not as big of a deal on a black car since the roof is going to be black anyways. I just have always loved the carbon roof on the M6's (since those used to be the only ones that had it and it was the highest-end M car). I had black M6s though and I felt it made the car look less distinguishable because you could not make out the CF roof.

sounds like it's time for a road trip i would go for option 3 and enjoy driving those miles .
i wrote that and then notice that you were in Anchorage lol .
i would still go for the 3rd option and pay/try to make them pay for shipping since you don't know how the manger drove those 1300 mile

Go carbon fiber...you won't miss the sunroof. On a separate note, those lease deals don't seem that good. What is the discount off MSRP and what is the MF? $6000 down on a lease is a no go for me...and with the market right now, the prices quoted by you don't seem to be a good deal.

Why don't you assume my lease and pay zero down and get a car with an even higher msrp and more miles per month! As your screen name states blue m5 I have the perfect one!

Separate note I have B&W and would never give that up for the sunroof just put the windows down!

I wouldn’t get an M car without the CF roof. It adds so much more to the aesthetic of the car.

Wrap Carbon Roof

I have the same issue, two years ago. I wrap my roof in Carbon Fiber. Have not regret it yet. Best of both worlds.

With all that is going on in world now, you still feel the need to show your low budget sense of humor. What you should be doing is upgrading that X3 to X5M. Yeah, I know you get a discount for being in Europe on buying cars. If you need some financial help to upgrade to an X5M let me know. Have a great day.

I couldn't care less about the CF roof. I actually find myself missing the sunroof and I appreciate my Porsche having one. Either way, I'd go with the perfect car if I were you. An $1-1.5k extra for the transport isn't that much if it really is the perfect car.

B&W. I bet they could make 'sunroof delete' a $1,500 option and many people would pay not to have it.

If you're going to lease I highly recommend contacting Dan (DiscountSales2020) on LeaseHackr.com. He's in the NJ area and has great deals with the local dealerships. I'm in MD and worked a deal through Dan with a NJ dealership and had it shipped to me. Can't hurt to contact him and see if he can search his contacts inventory and for $399 he takes all the hassle out of the negotiations.

Here's a link to his marketplace thread: https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/disco...ct/127403/1539

Here's a link to the current deals: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1911616781

Not affiliated in any way with Dan, just really liked my experience when looking for a good lease.

Seems like a good deal to me. Considering the other deals I've seen on here. 125,000 msrp 11% off. In the money down is also my first payment.
