No one said you can't also have a sports/track car to complement your m5!

That is a fair comment but I am curious to know what you had before and what you intend to buy after?

They should have introduced an option to have a blackened out or metallic version.

The only 4 door ///M to ever have rear arch extensions is the F80. It makes the assembly very time consuming as the production line has to stop for tooling swap and rework so F80's are built in batches to minimize the impact as much as possible.
Thanks for the infos !
Considering the premium people will pay for the M5 it would have been nice to have the guys at BMW making the same effort as the F80 and give us flared up rear arches... not a deal breaker for me but coming from an F80, it would have preferred to have the M5 looking more aggressive...

Probably the best car in the world. Perfect blend of luxury and sportiness, a rocket for a whole family.
Can't wait for a head to head duel vs Panamera Turbo.

The front grill says M3 on it. the rear bumper has terribly reflectors that look like an after thought and the red accents in the interior has to go.

Nice try.

I think it's because it looks like the 437M wheels, with an additional spoke added to the original ones.

Good eye for the M3 badge. Yeah, I'm not buying this photo shop mock up. From the side profile it has F80 flares in the rear, then the front shots they are not there. Excited to see the real reveal today!

The badge definitely says M5. Here's a close-up from the video.

Less is More

M5 is always been understated super saloon, all of them were similar to normal 5 series models, e28,e34,e39,e60,f10, particularly last three model M5s looked like M Sports, but with one CRUCIAL Difference: ///More Driving Pleasure, well I guess this is democracy and people are entitled to their opinions, but when it comes to BMW M, which is ultimate driving machine, keep your opinions to yourself, about bumpers, buttons, stitching and all the irrelevant shit, because it's matter of taste, this car and every BMW is about driving, if you have problem with how it drives against competition, then fair enough, but we don't know that yet.

Conservative compared to?

I thought the E90 M3 also had rear arch extensions, no?

Nice to have introduced a more multi (7) spoke design as the primary wheel, as opposed to the 5 spoke designs used on all recent M cars. It fits the super saloon concept well, while the M coupés might keep getting sportier 5 spoke wheels.
