Company to install microchips in employees
Would you do it? After all, what could possibly go wrong?

How fucking lazy can we get? Is it that difficult to pull out your ID or credit card to enter the building or buy food that we are willing to have something surgically implanted? I mean, I know it's not that big of a deal because it's subcutaneous, but still, it's simply ridiculous.

I wonder how easy it is to scan for RFIDs and steal their frequency to apply to another RFID tag?
I think i'd prefer an RFID on my phone case or something like that.

The question is why? What's wrong with using an RFID badge like every other company. Lose it, call it in, deactivate, get charged a few bucks for a new one, get a new one.

We have a market in the plant where you can purchase snacks and drinks. You can either scan your badge (which you use to get in the parking lot and building), or you can use the thumb print reader.
Why the fuck would anyone get chipped is beyond me. I thought chips were reserved for pets..., oh wait..., company..., employees...., pets...., it makes sense now. |

Total BS... with the internet and workplace monitoring, we're all overly connected and have little privacy... now this?

I think this is more of a stepping stone.
I personally would like to have my bank card chip implanted in my hand. I hate carrying a wallet. |

THEN theres "financial incentives" THEN, more and more have it and it becomes "peer/accepted social pressure" AT LAST, only a handful of stallwarts dont have it and it becomes "mandatory" ..this is how we get to a 1984 type of world where non-conformist "bad" lil boys just get taken off the system |

I would get a microchip. People bitching about that stuff don't realize we're already watched way beyond what you would get with a chip in you.
For example, --your cellphone already tracks your every move and network of contacts --all your data is up for grabs / being grabbed --cameras with number plate readers (extremely common) and facial recognition tech (not that common, but about to be) track your car and soon to be your face everywhere there's a camera. Which if you're in a city is effectively everywhere. So how does the chip matter in light of the above? Please, explain to me. We're already way the fuck beyond what "don't put a chip in me" folks are worried about and besides the chip in the OP is a niche access thing for some tech nerds. |

So to your regard, go ahead and get the chip and let it set a precedent for the exciting future we already have ahead of us. |
