lol what? for dads? people will buy this car cause they want a super fast 4 door saloon. I know plenty of young people who aren't dads who own M5s

I think there's truth to the original post, but the M5 is so expensive that you've got to be at a "dad" age to even afford it. People who truly want something more raw and engaging will opt for the M2/3/4s of the world. The M3/4 aren't even that engaging anymore unfortunately.

While this looks good, it isn't a game changer like when the M3 when from E90 to F80. That made me go from owning only coupes to buying my first sports sedan.

If I was a F10 owner I wouldn't be that envious, except maybe for the interior.

Rumor has it, that it will be launched with the Competition Package right away but I highly doubt that's true. Otherwise BMW won't make money from people who buy the regular version, then 2 years later see the ZCP and sell their current one at a loss to buy the new one. Then they make a CS version

F10 M5 still looks better to me, for $150k I'm not too impressed with the F90, looks wise. But if it has over 600h and AWD , I guess that will make up for the looks. wait a year or two guys, let them work the kinks out and pick one up pre owned and save yourself 80k

I don't understand why BMW must connect the headlights to the grilles, it ruins the complete front for me.

I can hear the M550 owners already...

Seems to look legit. Could be an embargoed pictures leak.

I sat inside one last May during a BMW M Belux event. Description of my impressions (please note that, as requested by BMW, I didn't take pictures inside the 'Discovery Room'): http://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...c#post21740262

Only difference: the one I saw sported black kidney grills (no chrome).

Not well visible in the leaked pictures:
  • size of rear tires: 295/35 (20") (front tires size: 275/35 (20")) (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires)
  • V-max speedometer: 330 km/h
  • start/stop button color: red/bordeaux (same color as the M1 and M2 paddles for personal settings)
  • front interior: featured some shiny grey trim
  • tiny discreet mud flaps (grey/black plastic) are mounted on the top part of the rear wheel wells
  • there are sensors on the lower part of the front intake (bumper) (to be distinguished from the eye between the kidneys)
  • the cup holders section is covered with a sliding curtain
  • the M5 logo inside the top part of the sports seats + inside the entry door sills (à la M3/M4) lights up
  • rather small braces à la M2 inside the engine bay (no strut brace à la M3/M4)

Love it!

Not seeing what the people preferring the F10 are talking about?

It's all subjective, but sometimes I think people prewrite the response and just cut and paste when the photos come out.

Only wonder if the M buttons will get in the way at times.

Classic BMW greenhouse, I like the looks of the car.

Seems like just yesterday I was reading how test mules were spotted in CA with a manny tranny right before the release....

Need to see some pics of back seat area with rear seat entertainment option.

Black grilles, easily solved.

I could be tripping but the more I look at this thing.....the more it looks like an M3 that has been on HGH while hitting the gym and it has an M2 front bumper. The renders people made looked much better IMO
