If I purchase the F90 or anyone in my circle purchases it we will do the roll tests, and then we will see what is what. Here in Brazil 99% of races are from a roll, as our events tend to be 1/2mile ou mile trap speed (starting from 60mph), and we have notoriously excellent roads in the more developed regions. I will perform the test and we will see. I do believe my M6 can keep up with an F90 from a roll. I know though that from not to whatever speed I am toast.

By the way, BMW knows their public here. All M cars have topspeed restrictions only at 190-195mph. The M5 F10 limits at 312 km/h, the M6 at 315 km/h (I have tested LOL), and the M5 F90 limits at 313 km/h.

By the way my M6 is not CP. I said it before probably because I was drunk. Here in Brazil we don't get CP M cars. What we get is the option for a tune up in performance and derestricted top speed (not 155 or 170mph limiters, but 200 or 195mph limiters) at the 1200mile service. You just pay 2k usd at the 1200mile service, and those options became standard. F10 M5's here have 550-560whp, and F06 M6 have around that too. These are dynojet numbers. E63 had 537whp (the W212 4Matic), E63 S (the W213)run 578 whp at the same dyno. I believe the F90 M5 non CP will run around 570whp.

From what I saw in videos, the M6 F06 traps between 122 and 124. Pretty reasonable. The F90 M5 traps 125 mph.

The guys in the video seem to be pretty smart and seem to be friends who probably know each other’s cars well. Why would they lie about the white ones modifications?

BMW spent a lot of money to developed the S63 and they milked it with the f10 base, competition, and jarhe which were claimed to be 560, 575, and 600 but in reality were the same engine with same performance.

I can easily see them using the same engine yet again in the new car. It would save them tons of development cash. They have already said before that 600hp would be the HP cap for the M5 for any future generation. Whether or not that is true will be seen but if so it looks like they have their engine. Why develop another 600hp engine if you already have one?

Even if HP and straight line acceleration are in reality the same there are still many reasons why the new one is better than the f10. Straight line acceleration is but one small facet of a performance luxury sedan. Tech, comfort, quietness, handling, etc are some others but there are more.
