It is good to read a contrary opinion from someone who has lived with the seats. I have read car magazine reviews complaining about them. I sat in one in a showroom but that is it. I actually don’t find the stock seats comfortable. I am 6’3” and about 205. I like the seats in our Cayenne more.

CS seats or carbon bucket seats -- I would say they are comfortable enough. I would not go out of my way to say they are comfortable in the sense of where comfort is supposed to imply plushness, relaxation, or feeling better than normal. Are the seats discomforting or bothersome - not at all! Not for me anyway. I am 6' but not of a wide frame. I could, however, see how a larger person would not like the seats and feel squeezed/tight.

Just did a 350+ mile trip in my wife's M3. The carbon buckets were great.
