"fake M" brakes vs Modernspare - spacer needed?

if you got a Modernspare spare wheel for a M340i and M550i -

i suppose you must get the spacer for it to clear the brake calipers?

thanks for any experience with this ...

I believe that's the case. However the rear brakes are much smaller from what I can tell, so I skipped the spacer and plan to rotate if the spare is needed on the front. It's probably safer that way anyway since emergency braking relies on the front tires more heavily.

It’s safer to have the spare in the front.
If you put a donut on the back, you can easily spin. I don’t recommend doing it at all.
