Wheel options?
Hey guys,
About to take delivery of a new F80 M3, I really want to go a 19x9.5 front and 19x 10.5 or 11 rear. Just curious to know what wheels people are putting on these cars in Australia without having to re-mortgage the house. Rays G25's are a wheel I have been looking at. cheers |

I did state that i didn't want to re mortgage the house. HRE and BBS wheels are like 10k with tyres. the vorsteiners are more affordable but they are flow forged, for the same money i can buy rays g25's which are fully forged. |

Definitely lots of options for wheels!
Top end stuff and anything forged you're looking at $10k AUD a set and up depending on finish. Whilst these look awesome they aren't for everyone. What I think is emerging as a good value set of wheels that are still quality are either the HRE Flowforms or Vorsteiner Flowforged wheels. Whilst their construction process means they aren't as light as forged wheels they are still lighter than cast wheels and offer excellent strength (as well as looks!) HRE and Vorsteiner both have options under $4k in 19" and under $4.4k in 20" As for VMR wheels, most of their line up are 'cast' and I don't think they would suit the nature of the F8X. We can also trade in your OEM wheels and we offer financing on the new wheels as well - any other questions on this get in touch! Here is an example of the Vorsteiner V-FF 102 on an F80 M3 |

The exchange rate now really hurts options from overseas if you look at anything forged. IMO The flow formed range of wheels are really the only ones that will meet the budget and not cheapen the car's overall image.

Congrats on the new pick up OP! Quote:
For this reason, we've further expanded our flow formed line of wheels to help reduce weight, while maximizing tire fitment on the F80 & F82 platforms. Many consider flow formed wheels to be a sort of 'hybrid' of cast and forged construction. While flow formed wheels aren't typically as lightweight as a fully forged wheels, they do offer a good compromise/middle-ground between cast & forged wheels in terms of weight & price. With this in mind, we do offer F80/F82 specialized flow formed fitments to allow 265-275 tire up front with 295-305 tire in the rear. Here're some ideas from our flow formed lineup: V810 flow formed wheel V803 flow formed wheel V710FF flow formed wheel (Apologies for the Audi pic, F8X photoshoots will be out shortly!) Light weight, high strength and at an extremely competitive price point. Last edited by info@VMRWheels; 02-19-2016 at 11:36 AM.. |

Google "BC Forged" or look that up on here. That's what I'm looking at right now. Under 4k for a set.

'M3Xican' is in LA.. so that's $4k USD not AUD :P. From memory it's $800 USD shipping. Still, BC Forged represent good value for a forged wheel we have sold a few sets and they look good |

I agree they are really nice wheels!
However you add shipping and duty and your up around the 10k mark AUD. Then you have tyres to worry about on top of that! The best value for money fully forged wheels on the market are RAYS Engineering. They are 4500 AUD delivered! |
