License Plate Lights

In my neighborhood we have an automatic gate opener that recognizes license plates to open. Mine isn't recognized at night for some reason and I am thinking it's because I have a blue plate and it's too dark to be read at night so I am after brighter license plate lights.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for what would be a good bright light to swap out.

are the license plate lights even removable like a bulb is? i was under the impression since its LED that its a BMW module. Also pretty bright as it is. I would look to change the license plate to something not so dark if this is going to be an issue you can't live with. Assuming you have a vanity plate.

They are a module but I've found plenty of aftermarket ones, but I have no idea if they are brighter.

Won't be getting a new plate. It's a special plate design that's no longer available, and I will not give it up to go to a basic design.

I would just move honestly.
