F90 M5 vs G82 M4
Hey Guys! I have this hard decision between a 2024 G82 Comp Xdrive M4 or a 2020-2021 BMW M5 Comp. The thing is the G82 interior is amazing with the carbon bucket seats and the the new Idrive8, however, it is a v6 and I love the v8 sound of the M5. I have not test driven either yet which I will be doing tomorrow. But please give me some of your opinions between the two this will be used as a daily driver but also to have a lot of fun so daily drivability is also a big factor for me.

https://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1927492 Somewhat dated but still relevant thread: https://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1814663 Newer thread: https://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1905226 Two of these threads compare to the G80 M3 as opposed to the G82 M4, But there is enough similarity between those two cars to provide relevant and helpful information nonetheless. Short answer — go with the M5 if it’s a DD. The test drives tomorrow will likely leave you walking away with the same conclusion. Come back and let us know how it goes.

M4 engine is an inline six, not a v6…

Just went from a G82 (2.5 years) to an F90. The f90 power delivery is so much better. Its a rocket. G82 was quick and nimble. F90 is so sast for its size and weight, and it hides it well
