Billet coolant reservoir

I am a member of the BMW F90 M5 Owners group on facebook. I am came across this recent post and I will be following since there is an issue with a potential leak in the coolant reservoir. This post is for information only and I have no affiliation with the seller.

I saw that earlier today, seems interesting and i like the direction it's going, but the price point i am not sure yet. it seems like he has the engineering background for it.

The problem is the way the sensor is molded in. Should have been a replaceable sensor with threads. The question is if there is another BMW sensor with threads that could be plugged in and work without error and has threads. If so a know a tank fabricator that can make a aluminum tank. This would be best case, but again the sensor is an issue.

Sure. It’s just a 2 wire sensor. Grounds out when triggered, turning on a light. Just find a threaded sensor and install it in the side of the tank or find one that is the correct height and has a float system if installed from the top. You want baffles in the tank so the coolant does not slosh to one side due to g-force and unnecessarily trigger the sensor.
