///M Flight status

Not sure if you guys are aware of what's going on with ///M Flight in Germany but the email I received is so misleading. Here's a portion of the email I received.....

"Yes, the ///M Flight name was stolen from me, from us by someone who is trash! He was able to copyright the name there in the EU before I did. So even though it is wrong, we all know it's wrong, he unfortunately has the rights to it. The cost to try and get that back is getting ridiculous and it has already been over a year."

That's I LIE. The ///M Flight name has been registered since 1998! So if Gama or Hans Trower can explain what's really going on I would appreciate it. If not I'm sure the German authorities will get it sorted soon enough. I hate when someone tries to mislead or lie to me.

///M Flight is a non-profit organization/club that is free to join if you have owned/or currently own an M car (US, Europe etc.). There is a group of 5 people that run the organization in Germany. They are claiming that someone copyrighted the name (///M Flight) before they had a chance to do so, this is a lie because the copyright owner has owned the brand since 1998. The copyright owner has been trying to negotiate with some of the aforementioned group of individuals for years trying to reach an agreement. This is significant because it seems all laws in Germany are more strict compared to the United States and eventually the German officials (tax and customs) are going to conduct an investigation in regard to the lack of taxes paid/official registration of the organization's existence.

This is significant because the club can no longer use the ///M Flight name. All owners with cars in Europe that have ///M Flight stickers/branding on them, need to remove it ASAP. This is also significant because members purchased these items in good faith, not knowing the club organizers did not register the club and did not have the rights to sell merch with the ///M Flight branding.

Personally, I hope the group of 5 individuals are arrested for tax evasion and copyright infringement. Why? In my first post I quoted a portion of an email I received from Hans Trower. He implied the copyright owner registered the brand in 2021, this is incorrect, and based on what I know as fact, a bald faced lie!

I'm still completely confused on why this post was made or why it is important at all.

Did they sell a lot of badges? Are there a lot of M Flight members?

Everyone who sports a sticker now has to remove them immediately? Hahaha. Good God. I'm sure they'll all get right on that.

Well we're defunding the police over here so if y'all want to drive your illegally stickered car in the US I'm sure y'all will be safe from getting caught.

There are about 1500 members in Germany, but I'm not really sure. Yep, you're correct! It's not important at all. I apologize for wasting your time.

Honestly, I debadged my M5 and don't have anything BMW to wear, all in the name of going "under the radar." I simply couldn't imagine joining a club and owning a shirt, so they can say "Hey! Look at me! I have a XXX!" But, to each their own. Bless their hearts.

Hey SkyPX, Why did you join ///Mflight in Oct 2020? Why did "The Dr" join in 2014? I have an email from his Brother asking us to include him in the group. BTW- look up the name- real legit. If you are the "owner" of the club there would be no need. It's OK most of us are Vets, we'll survive. FYI- 2563 members in 52 countries.

From my perspective Germany is boring as shit. So I thought... why not. I can do some meets along with my gym workouts.
