But I do wish they bring CS out and drop 100-200 lbs and biggest wish would be manual
I know it will never happen
Where have you got that from? CS means Competition Sport, on the E46 M3 CSL meant Coupé Sport Leichtbau.
This was a joke
And meaning from old days

5 series for the track, you say?

Like we'll ever see this again. The next 5 series will be autonomous and have a knuckle coupling on the front and back to allow it to be attached to the back of a train.

This is true, but you have to admit "Competition Sport" is totally idiotic sounding and redundant. About as bad as the Ferrari La Ferrari. They should have just used GTS moniker instead of CS and then CSL as top dog only for the cars that deserve it. M5 has no business wearing the CSL badge... M5 GTS has a nice ring to it and would already be more than overkill for this segment.

But it looks like they might consider a 4-door CSL someday in the future (I know this article is from 2017).

I wonder how much those nylon door handles will make.

BMW already has the M5 (competes with E63) and M5 Competition (competes with E63 S).
From what i've read, the M5 numbers are on par w/ the S or even surpass them...

Yes, I meant "competes" because they are certainly in the same class, but the M5 wins in most tests.

Standard M5 is better than the E63s.. Mercedes needs to come up with a E63XS to compete with the M5 Competition

... more like it would be black series. or alternatively, if it remains to be called E63S, power wise has to remain below the GT63S
