Crashed M5 Comp
Looking for some informed opinions...
I can buy this car for $30K - Haven't seen it in person yet... Looks like it might be repairable for a reasonable outlay. |

If it’s not at least 30% cheaper when done at the end and can’t be done in under 2 months or so not worth it in my opinion. I’d have clean 2018 M5 over this all day long.

Just from where the impact was I'd be surprised if there wasn't any frame damage to the car, not just the frame rail extension that can be replaced but further down the line
Might be an easy fix, or might need a lot of work... to put into perspective this was my 2013 m5 https://ibb.co/JzFBrtV doesn't look too bad from the picture, rear bumper, crash bar, tail lights and maybe trunk. Upon tear down, whole trunk floor was fked, frame twisted, needed to essentially cut off the rear third of the car and re weld a new one (going past the back seats to remove and replace trunk floor) estimate came out to around 40k for all the repairs and that was before actually getting it on a lift and doing a proper disassembly. |

As has been said, this can either be a straight forward repair or a can of worms full of hiddeen suprises.
Without having a proper look at it, I would say it is light to moderate damage which looks like it might not be too much of a ballache to fix. What qualifies me to answer this you ask? This does.............................. https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1943209 |
