I installed the JB4 on a 21 Comp. I have the EWG installed and get a drivetrain malfunction under part load boost in map2 and right away in map 3. 94oct fuel with a can of boostane in it.
What is the stock boost of this 21 comp? I logged a 3rd gear pull, boost went up to 25, 26 and even 27. Timing seems to drop down quite a bit to around 5-7 degrees on ign1. Avg Ign is around 13 or so... Are we watching the cylinder ign or average?? AFR 14.2-14.7 under the pull. AFR hits 13 then leans out to mid 14s. Seems like it was adding ~5psi of boost vs the ecu psi... IAT was 105-106f. |

How is everyone else with a 2021 jb4 setup currently doing? I've got a 2021 comp with a JB4 without the EWG connectors and haven't so far felt any difference. I haven't installed the EWGs because (1) it's harder to do yourself, (2) a few years ago that would lead to faults being thrown, and (3) a racechip supposedly works just fine with the standard two wires so logically a JB4 should too.
Has anyone done any dynos with this setup - 2021+ comp and jb4 to compare with stock? Or any other data to show how it runs (interested in both without ewg and with ewg as if that makes a difference I'll take it to the shop to get them plugged in) |
