My cars dragging. It's been at the Performance Center since the 24th but they have to log it in the system and set it up so there's no update since it's been there

Mine is on a vessel sitting in Rota Spain. Next stop is Halifax for a drop off and then to NY/NJ port. The wait kills once you know it's on a ship lol |

Your car is likely going to Brunswick Georgia VDC. Call your dealer SA and they can pull details of vessel, etc. from their computer system.

This is odd, but website again has log in issues. Spoke to my dealer, who said she's at port and hopes it to arrive on Thursday.
I checked status on site and it shows at port, but few weeks ago it was a check mark ahead showing in transit. Top pic is current, bottom few weeks ago...:

I'm hoping customs and VPC can be quick because the dealer told me they usually get the cars the next day being so close to the port. |

Ha! It must use the same port and in transit stages, for Germany, then state side. Mine was now just assigned to a truck, but it didn't leave yet as of this am. My dealer is keeping me posted.

So not amused! After huge deliberation between the E63 and M5, I went to our dealer to finalise a spec and asked what delivery times were looking like?
So if I order now, I’ll likely get it Jan 2019!!! Urgh! |

So, Performance Center delivery adds time to delivery it seems. From those who’ve gone through this, how much of a delay did it add over having your dealership prep and deliver your car? Was the track session and factory tour worth having to wait?

I think it depends on how far it is booked at the performance center but for my case, it was about a month later than dealership. (mid July vs mid August) I really wanted to do performance delivery because I wanted that experience, little class and driving back about 800 miles which helps break-in. But for below reasons, I decided not to. - Waiting 1 month more which was critical as you all know - All the cost(Flight to SC, my PTOs which are basically money, gas money, meals, mileage, potential speeding tickets) I was told that if you don't get a speeding ticket, then you didn't truly break-in an M. ;p (I'm definitely not encouraging speeding guys) |

I actually completed the PCD today and am driving back to Chicago. Stopped in Nashville at the moment. I urge everyone to do the Performance Center Delivery if they can swing it. I think it was worth every moment. Got to drive the shit out of their M5 and was drifting the skid pad as instructors saw that I could pull the donut, amazing all around. Hotel stay at the Marriott is top notch, BMW covers Dinner and Breakfast and it was all just a great old time.
Added bonus for me was getting to see the new X5, also a few X7 running around in camo... But the true icing on the cake was a X3M Camo Mule in the factory that was getting worked on, but it was started up and I can confirm that new engine sounds great Here is my full schedule for build, it doesn't take long at all Week 23 Status 111 - Order Accepted at AG April 30 Status 112 - Scheduled for Production May 8 Status 150 - May 23 Production Started Status 155 - Production Completed June 6th Status 160 - 193 June 6th Waiting at Port Status 195 - Shipped from Port June 9th Arrived at Port - June 23 Shipped to Performance center June 26 Accepted Performance Center Delivery July 11 |
