Was thinking the exact same. Although time has softened my dislike of the beaver teeth this example on a beautiful car clearly showcases how nice and special this car can look. Wheels are perfect- very complimentary!

Any, and I mean any, black wheel looks better if the black was removed; with one exception to black wheels with a polished/chrome lip, which is largely aftermarket. Hopefully this trend of ‘dirty wheels’ goes away sooner rather than later. I realize my post will be controversial, but it’s just an opinion that I’m sure a handful will strongly agree. Thanks for reading!
Agree 100%. Black wheels look like dirty wheels or no wheels. People can post pics all the black wheels they want, but they are all ugly.

And what a beautiful car. But don't worry, BMW will find a way to screw it up.

Very nice, the Malachite has a little too much brown in person for me though. Glad to see no black wheels as I do think I prefer something other than black wheels with the greens, the black takes away from the color, and I like to see the wheel design pick up the metallics in the green. The black just mutes the color, no thanks.

Thanks! No black wheels here, just chrome for me! Keeping that luxury look since it's not an M car.

Funny you mention about the brown; the interior is mocha Nappa leather; I just love the forest look with green and brown.

I had wondered this to so busted out some sleuthing — Bavarian BMW in Belfast. Even when I looked a few weeks ago it seems like it was already sold. Wanted to see if they had more pics.

Someone get the owner on these forums!

That’s the best M5 I’ve ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous. Gold CCB’s would complete it. I also agree on the black wheels, they would not work well on that colour combo.

At least we agree on this F90 needing black wheels. :-)

PS-does it rub you the wrong way that a fully tuned G80 would smoke a fully tuned F90? Freaks me out a little, but it’s true.
A TESLA SUV WILL SMOKE US ALL WITH NO TUNE! cars are about much much more than speed and horsepower now

design, quality, dynamics, SOUND

my f90 mops the floor with any m3's sound.. even an e90

But

I'm going to say something nobody else seems to say: I like the g80 front, always have, especially with the vorsteiner or gt4 grill.. super sick..

BUT i really dislike the rear,
I dislike the rear quarter panels,
dislike the tail lights, and the fact Acura has unfortunately copied them identically.. so at dusk and after, it's indistinguishable from an Acura .. that sucks butt
the 3 stacked center exhaust is also a miss

And who cares if a tuned g80 outruns a tuned f90 ...
stock for stock thats not happening
tuning was fun for a few years, but unless you're going to do a complete real motor out build, and get real power and 1/4 mile numbers under nine seconds, who cares?!

A tesla SUV beats us all in a line

But an f90 comp with the right specs, mods, and wheels is untouchable

But you’re right, they’ll basically turn Individual Almandine Brown if they get dirty, which again, I concede, is very easy.

This green with all the gloss black Comp parts is begging for 706Ms IMO.

Different strokes for different folks or some other cliche would be appropriate here.

really hides the brakes, but above all else

it could be a challenge on a game show to identify your wheel compared to a black hub on a '93 crown Victoria patrol from 50 yards away

Black wheels signify one thing:
this person has no personal style or preferences for themselves.
people are driving around with black rims because manufacturers have started putting them on new cars and people want to just be trendy and signal that they're in a new car

regardless of how sugly it is, if it's new, those people jump on that ship.
any guy that gets a new car and opts for not black wheels I think to myself: this guy has a mind of his own like me.

it's a fact

There’s absolutely no accurate way to measure how much I don’t give a crap about what tesla is or what it can do. If there was a way to measure it, I would explain in detail to you. So I apologize. There are no words.

I’m sure we can both agree that BMWs are legions better looking than any Tesla.

In my opinion, and obviously many many many others (sales numbers prove this) the G80 is one of the best looking BMWs that manufacture has ever designed. Front, middle and rear. The thing just looks mean. Most of the controversy has been around the front grille because for whatever reason long-term BMW enthusiasts want every freaking car in BMWs fleet to look the same from the front. Holy crap that’s boring IMO. After all it was the G80’s front that brought me to BMW to begin with.

For whatever reason the S58 just has way more post stock tune power it can give than the S63. I have no idea why. I’ve tried to watch YouTube videos explaining it to me, but I just can’t get my head around it. You can just get more horsepower out of that S58 V6 engine, then the S68 V8. Now any V8 sounds legions better than any V6. Hell even my Porsche sounds like crap compared to my M5. Lol. So you’ll get no arguments from me there.

Whether your opinion on an inevitable engine rebuild for highly tuned G80’s is accurate have no idea. But I do know that you can safely tune a G80 and it will beat a safely tuned F90 0-60 (I’ve seen it) and what I mean by safely tuned is it will have no long-term effects on engine performance or wear. Don’t think that makes me happy because it doesn’t. After all I paid more money from my F90 then the G80. I’m just telling you what I’ve read and seen.

And now we are insulting peoples tastes are we? OK I’ll play. I think anything other than black or silver rims make the car look gangster. Especially gold rims. Something at 22 year old kid would get paid for by his wealthy father or course. Either that or it was paid for by drug money. There you go.

What about gold-bronze rims? Curious if my car looks gangster or tied to narcotics operations. 😂
