I want air.. What do you guys recommend?

I've been reading about v2 and e level / I level and v2is definitely the more popular one. But I understand the advantages of going elevel management system, in that it's height based and auto levelling and one can upgrade to I level at anytime... But cost is the major factor.

I want air as I have sat In a friends car and the ride conform seemed superior to that of my bc Coilovers. It's also appealing to go air since I attend many shows throughout the year so for show purposes it works a treat. Slam it at shows and use it as a daily is great, even though my e92 335D has gone from being a daily to now weekend only thing.

I just want to understand is the hype and £££ really worth it.. ? If I do it, then what to go for? Can live without ilevel but does elevel have a huge advantage over v2? Or is v2 the better option since it's been tried and tested?

Cheers

1) check out this thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1002739

2) I have elevel (not hooked up b/c of being lazy) so technically I have a manual system. Which is perfectly fine. I know where I like my air levels so I use my gauges to air up/down to the level I want...and read.

Very informative, thankyou. I've been informed that I can use my current BC struts and just have bags made for them. Then I can obv add whichever management system I like.

What is the downside to using the BC struts over say Airlift ones? Also, I definitely don't want a manual set up.. it's either V2 or elevel... but do you recommend using my current struts and if so, who makes the bags?

So confused in what to do

Been slacking so much with the forum lately that I'm so out of touch with things. Would love to hear more about this bag over coil set up...
What's the process/rough costs? Does this only work for the front or is there a different type for the rears? And how low can you go?

basically the bag replaces the coil spring on the coilover. How low you will be able to go determines how low the coilovers will let you konw.

The rears are different since we have separate strut/spring assembly. The airbag replaces the spring and the strut remains untouched. And once again with the bag fully aired out the rear will only go as low as the strut allows.

Hey ACEE,
Thanks for your detailed PM buddy. I was just looking for ways to save on cost but I've found a company here who can supply and fit the kit for a great price so now I'm just deciding whether it's V2 or Accuair Elevel... price difference will be about £600 here.

Have you looked into AirREX? I'll be doing their full digital setup on my car. From what I understand it's really easy to install (no extra fab work), 3 presets, auto leveling etc etc (for their application specific kits)

I have read Airrex but people have told me to only go Airlift ... Have you got a link to Airrex kit for BMW E92s please?

The AirREX part number for the E92 should be : AirREX-BW017

I believe there are quite a few vendors that carry it (including but not limited to) : Forjworks, Mod (Bargains), VividRacing ETC

I've heard good things about both systems. Not too familiar with the Airlift system, so unfortunately I can't provide much insight.
I went with AirREX due to the ease of installation. Everything comes included ready for direct install. Install is straight forward just need to run power, ground, and the four air lines. The few people I know who run their system (FRS, NSX, E60, GTR, Porsche 911) use it for both daily and spirited driving.. with positive feedback. If I'm not mistaken, literally ALL LTMW cars use AirREX

Here's a review I found:
