I f@#$%ing hate Ca laws in the last two weeks I got pulled over for no front plate and front window tint. which is fine took off tint and bought tow hook front license plate. the next week just got off work and about to go to CHP to get my fix it tickets taken care of I see two bike cops behind me at the light,to get on the freeway to go home. I see them looking at the back of the car. I know this is not going to be good. The light changes and I take off slowly half way down the ramp lights!. Pull over the cop walks up and asks if I know why he pulled me over. I yes no, " your exhaust is to loud."
I am fbo catted dps and turner motorsport exhaust. it is not as loud as Harleys or V-8 with exhausts running around. He ask to pop the hood see the two filter is this stock no. and them tries to ask about how low my car is and some more bullshit. End with a fix it ticket that has to be fix at State Referee.

Had it check once 97.8 and 98.8 passing it 95 db.

Do I add resonators or just put the stock muffler back on and hope that I lose about 4 dbs.

any thoughts?

Go back to stock for the exhaust and intake at least in order to pass State Referee. Don't risk it dude. They have the right to impound/crush your car if you don't play it right.

Move out of that Communist state you live in and you wouldn't have to worry about this kind of crap.

On a more constructive note, I'd just go back to stock mufflers and stock air box to avoid the hassle.

thoughts? yeah, you're lucky you didn't get pounded in the ass for catless downpipes. This is exactly why my mufflers are stock, plates front and back, and I'm ditching my DCIs for the stock box with a K&N. My front windows are tinted, but the previous owner did it, and he did them lighter than the rears so it isn't as obvious. Regardless, if I get popped, they're coming off and staying that way.

Cops are haters down in socal, not worth the trouble.

went to the court house to have my tint ticket taken care of today which I already had a chp officer sign off on. The lady tell me the officer check off not correctable and I have to go to court and see the judge? what the fuck .....

Yeah I know never had this bad of luck.. having my stock muffler put on tomorrow and retesting on thursday. I hope I pass then back to the muffler shop to put back my turner motorsport muffler on.

It's not communist. It's the law. We all know that a lot of mods aren't legal and we do it anyway. We know the risks and we take our chances. To say its communist is just ignorant. You can do whatever you want to your car, I don't care, but don't blame the law dude.

Added stock muffler only change I did pass with 92.6 db ..
Now back to the muffler shop but I will be changing the tms muffler which is so small to a magnaflow muffler should be still free flowing and nice sounding but not 98.8 db.

Just got the fix it ticket for the loud exhuast. Get this $196.00 f&%king bull shit. I had to pay $108 to get it tested to say it passed the db test now another 200 dollars. Fuck you napa.
