I don't need anything that the M5CS has to offer. But I want one. Bad. IMO the best looking vehicle in BMWs lineup…with the F87 a very close second.

I would get one (or try to at least) if they offered it in black or frozen black. I am just not a fan of the green or the grey.

I think the bronze / gold trims would look so nice with black.

I think a key part of the recent CS success is BMW being very clear in what the brief is going in for these cars.

They have been consistent since the M3 /M4 CS and Competitions were released in the F series.

Interestingly, with the M4 CSL coming (this) year - will its brief of being a track focused car hit the mark with reviewers, fans and owners? Or will the CS be the goldilocks models that take over the mantle?

I love the M5; esp since Dukec hasn't gotten his mitts on it yet. But please. Over the GT3? I'm afraid I'm not buying this. Feels like Evo might have gotten some .. favors .. from BMW.

Read the magazine eCotY article. The 992 GT3 apparently has a lot of traction and ride quality issues, and it's something that's been detailed by other car reviewers (like Harry Metcalfe in Harry's garage, AutoTopNL, Henry Catchpole's original EVO review).

BMW M deserves the level of trust that Porsche gets just on badge to have someone disbelieve this result the way you are.

Then you have the hack jobs at Car and Driver:

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...y-the-numbers/

The Lows, according to the hacksters is that this car is not a Blackwing.

I suspect they say this in large part because the Cadillac has a manual transmission. As much as I adore the effortlessness and fluidity of the M5 CS gearbox, I do wish it were a manual. This may have made cemented the M5 CS as the best sedan ever.

LOL - great line. I have to use this more often.

The "fanboy" is very strong in me - at least I occasionally admit it.

I would have def gotten mine in a manual if it was available. Could you imaging if the first and last gasoline powered M5 CS was a manual? That would be a nice cherry and sprinkles on this delicious cake.

I typically want the highest trim of a particular line for myself, so I'd be lying if I said I haven't yearned for the CS. It's undoubtedly a better performing car when pushed to the limits, but the whole idea of it basically appeals to a different buyer.

I absolutely need car seats for my personal car so that automatically rules out the CS for me. I wish they had made it an option to have regular seats in the rear, as well as other color choices besides frozen paints and only gray as the non frozen choice. The CS would be perfect if I already had 2 family friendly cars, but then I'd probably be looking at dedicated sports cars at that point. The non CS M5s are perfect for being car seat friendly and having the best performance of basically all cars in that category.

I mean you still have basically 98% of the performance, but if you're like me and are OCD about having the highest trim it does bother you at times lol.
That's a bummer. I've got 2 booster seats in the back of my M5CS and the kids absolutely love the car.

The black wing reminds me of my e92
Would have loved to own both the CS and the BW

I'm no BMW fanboy, Trevor. I hate BMW lately (M-everything, mass production, numb driving experience, turbo everything, hideous designs). My last 9 sports cars are Porsche. Wrote BMW off. Then I drove F90 M5 CS...

Assuming you've had a 2rs, 3rs? or turbo/turbo S? (Because honestly no other P-car even matters to me)

And you would pick the CS over those? No way in hell. Unless you needed 4 doors, then no way.

This was the very first thing I confirmed before I put my deposit down. I would not have gotten one if it didn't come with one. I'm thinking if getting a different seat one that matches the back better.

Hey Trevor, who said anything about picking one over the other. I've had a bunch of GT3s, Speedsters and 911Rs. Totally different experiences.

No one did obviously. This guy doesn't seem to quite troll these forums but always shit stirs for some reason. 🍆

I have a 2RS, Speedster, 992 Turbo S, 992 GT3 and a few other classic 911s alongside my CS. It's a worthy garage companion.
