Strange sudden loss of power

Hey guys,

So I recently got primary downpipes installed and got a stage 2 map flashed on my car. At the same time the work was being done the tuner suggested changing the spark plugs, so we did that also. So car was running great for the first 2 days, pulling really hard and on the third day I decided to try it out on the track.

I ran 10.8 @ 129 several times, 1.65-1.7 60 FT consistently. I sent the results to my tuner and he said I should be more in the 10.3-10.5 range so he asked me to try my 100-200KM/H. He said low 6s would make sense, I got 6.6, 6.55 and 6.54.

He said it might be bad fuel causing car to pull ignition, so I burned all the fuel and put a fresh tank of 94 OCT, and decided to do a log with my wireless OBD2 module to monitor boost. I saw the car was boosting 19-20 PSI. I mentioned that to him and he said there might be a boost leak somewhere because it is supposed to be 22-23 PSI.

Before I started to troubleshoot further I was wondering if anyone ever experienced something like this, if anyone had any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Keep in mind no CEL came on, the car idles and drives perfectly fine

Thanks

I had that issue...bad fuel. Have your local bmw dealership check it for some sound reassuring. That's what I did.

Did you get any CEL or other issues besides the car not pulling as hard?

I have had the same problem on my GTR when running bad fuel or bad mix of E85. Most likely fuel issue.

How long did the issue persist, I already refilled 2 full tanks of 94 octane since

Roughly in terms of tanks, half a tank later it stabilized itself. I was using a bluetooth E85 gauge on my phone to make sure I am staying in the correct levels.

I am thinking you might have a problem with the tune.

Go to the dealership, have them look at it and give you some advice. You'll be better knowing the real issue. That's what I did
