M5 CS Unobtanium?

I know I'm probably way too late to the game here - no laughing, bashing please - but does anyone know of any M5 CS allocations available in the US still? Thanks!

BMW Seattle had more than a couple a while back. I think they may still have one or more. There are other threads on here very recently about this very subject.

With no lease program/support from BMWFS I am guessing that a few buyers might actually back out, so you might be able to find one (maybe). I'd try getting in touch with Dan at Next Level. He seems to have the best idea of inventory from multiple dealers.

There are several build slots left in the country but my guess is that they all want some crazy market adjustment especially west coast

Also, some are scheduled to be in production in November, so you are not late to the game

Had chance to get one here, but passed. Not that much different than my 2018 and the seats that they spected it in are a no go.....

How does this help the OP find an allocation?

Not sure if this official BMW policy or a line of BS for the CS?

of the only 5 available in the country, I assume the customers assigned to the allocation backed out

This is actually correct over here in the UK. I know my dealer had an allocation for 1 car, that the chap was uuming and ahhing over, and if he didnt buy the car, it had to go back to BMW, to another dealer, to be offered to the next in line. I have since expressed my interest again, since buying my Competition, and i have been told i am 15th in line, over 3 cars available. Apparently, each person, has 5 days to make his mind up, if he wants it, before being passed onto the next in line. Sounds like BMW are turning into Porsche with its politics over this car.
When they announced the CS, they did say they would build as many as they could sell, over a 12 month period, but that hasnt happened, and they have built far fewer cars than expected ?.

Certain options, like the P Zero Corsa Tires, are Priority 1 options and can only be ordered if a customer's name is attached to the car. Lots of dealerships just put a random name on the order to get the options they want and then remove the name later.

What country are you in? Your profile says you are in Virginia.

That's interesting to hear. I'm not sure that would work on this side of the pond and I've never heard of BMW taking a car back to give to another dealership.

I hadnt heard of this procedure before from BMW either. It was a bit of an eye opener. We also have a non franchised dealer over here, asking £185k for a used car, with 700 miles, whatever that is in $ ?.

I'm on the East coast, Northern Virginia, close to Maryland and DC

I sat down with the manager today, he showed me that there were 439 allocations throughout the entire United States, which includes build slots throughout the entire year.

Using Kilter.com and other car sales website, I contacted most of the dealerships that showed the M5 CS on their website - to discover there are currently only 5 of them that are unspoken for, 3 of the 5 are over MSRP

The fact that you think seats are pretty much the only difference says a lot. Not to mention your pointless comment to op looking to purchase one. "Oh I had a chance but it was beneath me" he says, as he sips his tea out on the back patio at the country club.

I don’t know kilter but is it only 5 available of the total 439 or 5 of those that have currently landed stateside, and available for immediate purchase?

the ones that are in transit or landed stateside; from my understanding this is the 1st wave of 2.

E90Fleet can you analyze the vin numbers and tell us what the production numbers are by country?

Sounds like a translation to "we know they will pay a stupid MSRP premium".
