BMW shows the world they COULD kill ML 55 AMG Love the engine sound.. it's pretty cool to rev that thing next to a sportscar..

COMPLETELY unfair comparison. keep in mind that the engine thats in that x5 is a F1 engine. a different breed by far.

Good point... How many miles can be driven on an F1 engine before a rebuild? A few thousand?

I don't think it's an actual F1 engine (19k redline etc. Second pic, a p84 the 2004 engine but you get the picture) I think it's a Mclaren F1 V12, that BMW built for the supercar (First Pic). Unless I'm mistaken those engines will last a decent amount of time although they are still high maintainence.
