I ordered regular M5 last month and it is arriving at Baltimore port today and expected to get the delivery earliest next week?
I added black gloss grill and carbon spoiler to it.

But then I saw this Competition build on the website.
with $7300 more it includes
- All the black parts that I wanted
- M seat belt
- M sport Exhaust (this alone seems worth it)
- Slightly more power
- 2019 vs 2018 (resell value)
- Apple car play included
- 20-inch wheels included

So list above is way more than $7300.

Down side is
- Slightly rougher ride? (This will be my only family car with little ones)
- Longer wait (Don't know how long. Any ideas?)
- No discount and higher APR? (I got pretty good offer with 2018)

I know my dealer's gonna hate me and won't want to talk to me again ever but is it possible to cancel my order now?
Should I even do so?

Sorry for complaining over my own dumb decision.
It's a dealership. They sell cars, new and old. If you told them 'No thanks, I'm ordering an M5C', they'll continue to pretend you're the love of their lives. I wouldn't even think twice about it.

that's not a dumb decision. that's something most people go through when in this specific situation.

if money isn't really an issue and you don't mind waiting a little longer then i say go for comp. as someone else mentioned dealerships deal with this shit all the time. if they hate you for not taking delivery of a car you have zero obligation of getting then they sound like babies

I'm evaluating the upgrade to competition, need springs and shock absorbers, anti-roll bar ant. and post.,uniball to the rear axle , engine mounts. The price of all this I think is less than $ 10,000 ... Except these few pieces M5 and M5 competition are the exact same car!It could be done!
