Coding is not impossible. I know a few people that installed the Euro tails and did the coding themselves and have both working. I just have not been able to coordinate with my coder who admittedly was stumped a bit.

That said, I am sure if you jump pin 1 fog left to pin 1 fog right with a wire, they both should trigger. I personally gave up. It is not important to me. As much as I wanted both to illuminate, I honestly can't think of a scenario when I would actually need the fogs. You also have to get a new light switch with the fog button for them to work. I got mine of ebay for about $85 bucks. It was one of those things where since I had the functionality and I had the fog wire (not all G30's do), then why not. The other issue with me is when the fogs are activated, the inner tails don't light up when braking. This may be by design, not sure.

Has anyone considered these from amazon? The Q&A says they are plug and play.

https://www.amazon.com/Inginuity-Tim...09KH6C4C1?th=1

Thoughts on whether to buy this for a North America F90?

Cheap AliExpress copies with the same build quality you'd expect.

Two successful installations in this thread with reviews and pictures. A few other G30 members have them on order. I would have to see them in person, but I have changed my opinion (line two of the thread "cheap and tacky") to hmmmm....they don't look so bad. Removing the need for repining and coding is the real prize. I'd spend double on the OEM's without a question, but the lack of coding does make me interested. Losing the coding is the issue and then tracking down a coder to fix it is not appealing.

I ordered and paid for a set of EURO LCI lights from Abdul on December 29th. Was expecting them the first week of January. End of the first week was told his shipment was expected at the end of that week and to expect it to be delivered the following week. Called the second week and was told by his assistant ( Abdul was away ) that shipments were held in customs for clearance. Abdul emailed me last week, apologized and said he would ship it this week. Nothing. I have had to reschedule my installation 3 times based on what I was told. I am out $1200 for 4 weeks when I could have just paid for it this month (February) and hopefully receive the lights in February.

The shopping experience with M Power Motorsports (MPM) has been frustrating. I do understand things happen, and am just relaying my experience as factual.

I would suggest that before you order anything from MPM, ensure that either the part is in stock before buying, or ask for a realistic timeline on when you will receive the parts. It is EXTREMELY frustrating having the can kicked down the road every time you ask for an update, only to be let down over and over again. Not to mention having to always initiate communication on the status of the order, rather than MPM proactively keeping you updated on any changes.

This is unfortunate. I have heard this exact story from at least 5 people about Abdul. It is disappointing to hear. Sounds to be the king of excuses, lot's of illnesses, deaths in the family, out of town, etc. One person got two sets or right side lights after waiting months.

My experience was fairly smooth. Maybe 7-8 days from order to doorstep.

I sent Abdul what I posted. He replied via email and I post with his permission. I will update when I get my lights. Hopefully soon!

Hi there,

Forgive me for the inconvenience. It’s my fault. I take full responsibility for it. I have nothing else to say but to reassure you that I’ll make it up to you. I was gone since the 13th of December and returned less than 2 weeks ago and I’ve still playing catch up ever since then. I haven’t been on the forums so I wouldn’t even know where to check.

When I say, I’ll make it right. I mean it. Not only refunding the shipping but I’ll also pay for the coding for your lights and help you in any way.

I know this sounds stupid, but we had over 5 sets of lights that had small scratches etc upon inspection. My team didn’t fulfill the orders until I returned. And then I had to order more sets and try to get a refund for the ones I had in stock. I’m still fighting with BMW Europe since they have horrible customer service. I ordered another 5 sets this week and they should be arriving next Thursday. It will take me a few days to inspect and then ship them out. So for sure you’ll have them the following week.

As far as stock issues, you’re right. I’m going to figure out a way to keep updating my website. Thanks for that suggestion.

Very sorry to hear about this. A note from me is that I never endorsed Abdul and his sales/website on my thread, others did.

The main point of this thread was a DIY help for other enthusiasts on the actual installation. Not Abdul's taillight sales.

I've also had multiple people private msg me about problems with Abdul, like I own them something. And they were getting angry with me, as they discovered about him in my thread…

As I asked before, please keep Abdul and his problems out of this thread. Suggestion to him, is to create his own thread and promote his products and deal with his customers over there.

A reminder to all those who are looking to purchase taillights, they can always be ordered from your local BMW Dealership. You can also ask your local independent BMW shop, if they can hook you up with some discount at BMW dealership parts department.

Another place is eBay, with buyer protection.

Good luck to all the future taillight buyers, hope you get your parts smoothly 🙏

Unfortunately this is the only way to get his attention. Other members issues were only resolved this way. Or by me stepping in with Abdul on behalf of other members. I gave him plenty of props so I felt it was my responsibility to help. I get more messages than you know in terms of install help as well as Abdul going dark. I never felt responsible or that I owed someone something and no one was ever angry with me, but at the same time, when a supplier asks me to share my great experience and then stiffs others, I take exception. I also don't mind helping other enthusiasts. Just how I roll. At the end of the day, we just want the lights we paid handsomely for and are owed customer service. I can say that every issue I have stepped in on has been resolved, but it should not take this extra effort. And in case your wondering there is nothing in it for me except helping other achieve the goal of getting LCI's in and a smile on their face.

Threads morph, no one owns the content. It's all in the best interest of all members. This should probably be locked down as a DIY if experiences aren't supposed to be shared. Including supplier issues. Dealer or eBay are viable options, but no one would know without the feedback.

Thoughts on whether this could be used for a wiring adapter for this conversion (after being re-pinned according to instructions posted in this thread)?

No, that's a different style connector and different amount of pins.

Finally got my Euro LCI lights from Abdul after 6 weeks but am happy with the lights despite the long wait. They are installed and coded. Huge thank you to WayneM3 for his help. I took them for installation and also took the color schematic that showed how the pins should be connected. For some reason the inner amber turn signal is not powered, and the outer amber light blinks with the inner rear light . The second picture is the hazards ON, but that's also how they look with turn signal ON (individually of course LOL ). Any ideas as to what connection the installer pinned wrong? The lights are beautiful Can't wait to get them setup correctly. No error messages on the iDrive so just a simple wiring issue.

Even though the inner rear lights/brake lights look AMBER in the picture... they are RED just like the outer brake lights... (picture color bad).

The easiest way to figure it out is to take it apart yourself and investigate. If you’re hesitant, I can walk you through it over video chat. Super easy even for a novice, especially when following euro’s write-up.

Check your wiring and repinning. If everything is correct it's definitely coding. Not all coders are equal. I had a few give up and tell me it's wiring. Vic fixed it in 5 minutes.

Plus one for Joe's answer. I had a coder who hadn't done the LCI conversion before spend 6 hours trying to code properly. It was amazing the different light patterns the tail lights can achieve! I went to Vic and he made it right in less than half an hour.

Ya i'll caution. I used the aforementioned coder and kept having issues with bulb out warnings. His solution i later found to be was to simply code off my bulb out warning. Now when my outer lights stop working which they have been doing lately with the cold temps, i have no idea. My dad came to visit a week ago and was following me to a new property i purchased and asked me if i had some new special light since only half of them turned on. Super stoked to hear that considering Virginia Staties are very anal.

You had bulb out warnings after having the LCI lights coded by Vic? You had the warnings, but the lights were actually working properly? So his fix was to code off the bulb out warning? Did he tell you that, or did another coder research the problem? When you checked the lights after his ‘fix’, did they work? You make it sound like they did, and now with cold air temperatures part of the lights aren’t working.

I doubt coding problems have anything to do with the air temperature. I would check the wiring if this has been an on again/off again recurring problem. Sounds like bad connections.

I doubt coding problems have anything to do with the air temperature. I would check the wiring if this has been an on again/off again recurring problem. Sounds like bad connections.
Lot of questions here. Let's see. Yes i had buld out warnings that related to the lights NOT working. I contacted him and he dove back into it but couldn't figure out the issue. Then magically he fixed it...I trusted he actually found the issue and moved on with my life. This was back in the fall. This winter i have been getting the errors pertaining ot my turn signals not working on really cold days. But i checked them and the inner turn signal still worked so i didnt worry about it. Then when my had my Dad following me he noticed the none of the outer tail light was working which i was having issues with at install after the first coding session the he supposedly fixed. So he clearly coded them to not trigger a bulb out warning for the tail lights. The turn signal and cold weather is a separate issue and separate coding. and yes i agree that it may be a connection issue, although not sure what the cold has to do with that. I plan on just putting in some electrical paste on the pins to see if that helps next time i have the time to open up the trunk. the outer lights are a bitch to get to.
