M driver's package

anyone know if you can have the M driver's package added to a car already at the dealership? I assume it is a coding thing

I wonder if the dealers can discount it? Seems like they could. Maybe better than purchasing with the car if dealers are willing to discount it significantly.

It comes with a day of track training, lodging, etc...in addition to the higher top speed limiter.

I suspect the original owner already did the track day...but it might be worth verifying. I understand usually BMW isn't the quickest in setting that up once you purchase the car with that option. There may be an unclaimed M track day associated with your car.

I was told it must be a factory ordered option and stayed attached to the Vin on the vehicle no matter what.

I've been told by multiple BMW service depts that it can be added after delivery.

That is strange. Both of my last two M’s they told me it had to be ordered and attached to the VIN from the beginning.
Not surprised in the inconsistency of information passed out though

I was told by the dealer that the track day is applicable to the first owner and is not transferable.

I guess I have it via the First Edition option yet BMWNA has sent me shit. I swear I should not have to track down this benefit that was listed on my msrp sticker. Anyone else have to do this?

I heard a lot of people on this forum had to call BMW to get the ball rolling. BMW doesn’t appear motivated to arrange these for their buyers who just spent $100k+ on a car.

Sounds like a fucking joke... Hey i love the car but the ancillaries that come with it require..... us to call in???

Hell, Bentley sent me a helmet and a Breitling watch. AMG sends gift cards to Neiman. Acura sent me a carbon fiber money clip. The list goes on and on. BMW sent me.... shit and cant even call me on the product they owe.

Im not really mad but I like typing.

BMW is stingy because I believe they offer more competitive pricing considering 36K mikes service is included!

I think I just had their cool aid?

Here in Taiwan it has to be ordered along with the car, it cannot be added by the dealer.

We should organize a group to take the west coast class. I will start a separate thread.

It's appalling, but also slightly comforting to see that things are not bad just here in Italy.
M Driver's package is available but I didn't get any "concrete" piece of paper other than a little item in the invoice mentioning the option. No mention of the training anywhere. Just because I know, I was the one to bring this up with the dealer, and they told me they used to manage these but since a few months organization passed entirely to BMW itself.
I bought the car 2 months ago, I have called 3 times the contact I have at the dealership but nothing happened: they have sent a "solicitation" to BMW -- not sure what this means.
BMW not calling me yet.
