M5 in the Wild - Spotted Thread

Finally starting to see a few f90's out and about where I live.

Thought a thread for spotting m5's on the road may be interesting and see if any cars out there are members of this forum.

I will start. I live in Short Hills, NJ and have seen two identical color cars to mine - donnington grey.

One has black front and side grilles, and black exhaust, and heavy tint. Seen this one a few times around so I would assume he/she lives in my town or nearby.

The second appears to be stock - only seen this one once.

My car is donnington grey with the black wheels. I just swapped out the front and side grille to black yesterday and I'm waiting on black exhaust tips. No tint.

Saw a white one on river road in Edgewater, NJ a few nights ago. I have a stock DG on 19's and usually drive around Weehawken and Edgewater. How are you liking the black grille compared to the chrome?

I like the black trim much more. I have been a fan since I saw the first few pics where owners had it done either via wrap or paint. I think it gives the car a much different look on something so simple.
Got impulsive at the dealership last week while waiting for the recall service and they gave me a pretty good price on the grilles (comes as a set).
Swapping it out was also remarkably easy - all in took 20 minutes.

Do you pass through Summit? I'm in Basking Ridge but commute to NYC through the Summit train station. I just took delivery of a Donnington Grey M5 Competition last week.

I do go to Summit often - better shops than Millburn.

Wasn't your car I saw since the one I saw definitely wasn't a competition.

But damn, nice car.

I am sure I will cross paths with you.

I think another member (fegelin) has a meetup either this weekend or it was last weekend.

I would be interested in a meetup if people are interested and schedules line up.

Its crazy to me. I live in LA where it seems like I see 100 new versions of any model within a month of release but for some reason I almost never see M5s. I actually saw a singapore grey yesterday which was only the 2nd I've seen on the road.

The Singapore grey is probably Quickburns! Unless his is still in the shop.

Damn, only 2 in LA? How many of the refreshed Range Rover and g wagons do you see? One per block?

I keep track as well. Fairly easy as there aren't that many.

I also have a Raptor which used to be non existent in my area but now there are 6.

My wife drives a macan - way too many to keep track.

Driver was female so unless I'm missing something about Quickburn, wasn't him. It was the one with Kuni plates... My car was parked at a park where I was coaching a soccer team and she passed 20 empty spots and parked next to my F80. I'm assuming she understood that I would avoid M on M door ding violence

I haven't seen any so far in the SF Bay Area. Tesla took a huge chunk of the luxury car market from the Germans in this area. It's incredible how they managed to do it in so little time. The area is simply flooded with Teslas.

Tesla love is so prevalent in this area, that the first question people ask me typically when they see my M5 (and when they saw my 550i before) is why I didn't get a Tesla.

Dr. Bruner: “Well Raymond, aren’t you more comfortable in your favorite Tesla?”
Charlie: “Tell him, Ray.”
Ray: “Tesla sucks.”

I've only seen 1 other F90 in the wild and that was near my neighborhood also. It was a black M5 spotted on post rd in Cumming few weeks back.
