Ideal 3-car lineup?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
So I've been contemplating what my ideal 3-car garage would be. Currently, we have a Z4, Escalade ESV, 458, and a Jetta (GF's lease, will be turned in November).

I've been on the fence about whether to get a F90 M5 or a S63 coupe as my daily to replace the Z4. Both have their pros and cons, but I'm trying to figure out what the cars in the lineup and deciding that way. The F10 M5 was a horrid daily, but with XDrive, I figure it's a safe bet now.

I have a '11 458 Speciale and it's a great summer/toy car. So that makes me think the S63 coupe would be redundant. I have no need for a sedan but the M5 has a special place in my heart. No chance I get rid of this 458 but if I did, it would be buy a newer model year.

The 3rd car in the stable would be a '19 G550 or a G63. Currently the Escalade is mine and I plan on swapping it for a G wagon and giving it to my gf once I get a M5 or S63. G wagon is her dream car and I've hated the old ones but the new ones are insane!

So going from:

Z4, 458, Escalade to a M5/S63, 458, G550/G63... Any input from other users on here regarding good complimentary cars?

If I would go the coupe route it would have to be a P car! I drove the s63 to me it’s boring!

The new G wagon is amazing they finally made the necessary changes for it to be a daily driver.

Have to say love the M5 and there are no other cars like it

You have more experience than anyone on this forum.

Any specifics as to why the 458 over the Turbo S ?

Thanks.

I had a 2014 GT3. P cars are great, but I simply can't use it as a daily. If I pick up a 991.2 GT3, I'd have to get rid of the 458.

I test drove the Panamera Turbo but just wasn't impressed. Cayenne is nice, but for the price, there's a lot of other SUVs out there now.

Personally I'd rather have a Cayenne than the new G wagon but I don't have a lot of say in that matter...

I test drove the full sized RR supercharged not a AutoBio. Love the car but the styling in the new ones isn't drastically different compared to the older 2013-2014 models. I think I'm going to wait for the next refresh.

I wish I could afford a Spec A! They're going for what, $600k? Basically I'd have to sell every car and have just a Spec A and a Honda in my garage.

488? Haven't driven it but looks are there but the turbos ruin it for me. I like my Ferraris the same way I like my girls. Natrually Aspirated.

I think your first 3 setup is the one for me. except for a 458 instead of a 488.

Never owned a Turbo S, but going from a GT3 to a 458 is whole another level. Turbo S is closer to a 458 so would love to hear more about the comparisons. Although looks wise, a Turbo is extremely tame compared to a 458.

I was giving the ideal 3 car line up for the OP not myself however I have never been a fan of the turbo S.
I love Porsches but the new turbo S is great if you can have only one car and want a nice daily with super car performance like the F90 but without the practicality.
If you have an SUV or another car to do the day to day then I suggest something more fun like the 458 special or GT3 or GT3 RS. More emotional and connected.
I love the 2008 -2011 GT3 RS cars. Manual, light and naturally aspirated. Plus they are pretty affordable and don't go down really in value.

True. An 812 Superfast was something I considered but then that is too close to the 911 GT2 RS.

Is the SUV simply a people mover or do you want off-road capability?
If you want off-road capability, I’d rather have a Land Cruiser built out for adventures, keep the Ferrari as your weekend sports car, and get an M5 for your daily (more fun and capable than an S63).
This would be an incredible garage.

It’s an exciting high-strung Ferrari, do you really need to ask....
