Do you suggest getting the eventuri intake? After hearing all these potential issues?
If it is installed correctly I don't see any real problem.

You also might want to talk to more current owners and see if there is more feedback to consider.

Without checking your options for the X5, I have a feeling that options may be limited. You would be fine removing charcoal adding drop in - in my opinion... It's not a vehicle that gets modded as frequently as the non X versions... Forum members are the exception to the norm - SUV's are vehicles heavily marketed to soccer moms... What do you mean this X5 doesn’t get modded as frequently as the non X versions? Like the sedans? Ok yes that makes sense now that I’m rereading it. I intentionally bought the 50i ILO waiting for the new X5M or ‘18 X5M to save the money and put towards the 50i to end up with a nicer X5 that’s also faster.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the X5 let alone X series in general, it's just harder to get mods for the X is all... Many a times a X5/6 has made me turn my head and long for it...

How can I get this intake for my ‘19 X5? There has to be someone that can rework the intake for the X5M or older 50i to custom the change to make it fit.. with a nice big tip, I would think someone could do it..?
I'm sure charcoal delete plus drop ins should increase the sound somewhat for you and help your car breathe easier... The stock air box had been proven time and time again to be extremely sufficient with some of us losing power to no change in after switching to aftermarket intakes...

What’s charcoal delete and how do I do it? Same with the drop in? Where can I get this? I’d like to do it ASAP!

Sound when not accelerating

All, my M5 is on the way and I'm already obsessing over mods. Wonder if anyone can offer feedback, how much more sound do you hear during regular cruising? Does it whistle?

Love that sound under acceleration but also mindful of day to day....this will be my daily.

I wonder if it possible to do a diverter valve mode like the Benz.

I recently installed VTA mod on W213 E63s.
It gave you the blowoff valve sound like the old school turbo car.

Reading that bit about blow off valves was instant time travel back to yesteryears of Greddy, HKS, Apexi, etc, lol...

I expect it on an evo or sti - I'm not sure how I'd feel about this particular car having that sound...

My old F80 on the other hand........... lol

I was thinking bout going to competition exhaust but I don't wanna cash out 6 grand after already spending 3500 on eisenmann

If I could redo this car, I'd def would of waited for the competition exhaust

Yeah, I've pretty much come to terms with the sound doesn't get deeper on F90, it just gets louder lol...

I waited a bit for this reason - same thing happened to me with F80 - I think three different exhausts when open valves with DP's would've been plenty loud... I actually had to ditch my upper DP's after I got Fi because it was ridiculous and not in a good way...

Exhaust and DP's made me neighborhood enemy number 1, lol...

:-) I'll hold for now, really wish I could hear it live but much easier said than done. I'm on a constant string of mind bending conference calls, worried about the whistle.
